Detailed Reviews
We have just spent a week here, it was our second visit,as we went last year. The owner Joe is one of the friendliest and most helpful owners I have ever met. He gives you a choice of pitches if he can.
The site is very clean with toilets and showers two of each per block. There is washing up facilities with only cold water but an electric plug in the shower block where you may heat a kettle for hot water. There are plenty of rubbish bins and recycling bins, which are emptied frequently. A water tap for drinking water, a chemical waste point and a grey water drain. There is also a freezer for cold packs to be stored so you can make a picnic for your day trips.
There is an Asda and some other shops 10 mins walk away. Also you will find several different takeaways and the train station. In the other direction you can catch a bus to Worthing or go to the beach or Catch the Coastliner bus. Lancing beach is very pleasant and has a very nice walk along the path. There are plenty of places to visit, Shoreham, Brighton, Worthng, Lancing ring nature reserve, walks on the South downs and Devils dyke to name a few.
After a busy day you can relax and watch the small planes that fly over from the near by airport while your children can play on the equipment that The Barn caravan park provides or compete at scoring goals with the football net that is in the middle of the site and kept clear for children to play safely. It is a very relaxing and peaceful park to be on.
The WiFi was very good and pets are welcome, there is a choice of electric or non electric pitches.
I would highly recommend this for anyone whether caravanning or camping with or without children , old or young. You won't be disappointed.

My family and I stayed at The Barn for two weeks during August. This was a last minute booking due to the pandemic, and thank goodness they had a place left for us, Joe and Kirsty are a lovely couple, very welcoming and relaxed. The Barn is very homely with a great layout. It was lovely not to be encased by caravans. The pitches were a great size and we could easily fit our caravan, awning and two annexes. We also liked the complementary picnic benches available to use. Shower and toilet facilities were cleaned consistently and hot water always available. Nice little touch having music playing in the washroom facilities. Location of the site is perfect, 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minute walk (2 minute drive!) to the train station and supermarket.
What I was particularly impressed with was that Joe and Kirsty did not try and take advantage of the fact that we had two dogs, two children etc by charging us extra as some campsites do.
All the caravans/tents encircled a playing area and goal which meant the children could be watched but were not infringing on anyone else’s pitch.
All in all we had a fabulous holiday at The Barn Caravan Park and can’t wait to return next year.

Just spent the week at the Barn caravan park. Met on arrival by the owner Joe who could not be more helpful. Was given the choice of pitch and settled for one with a tap just behind the caravan and trees for some shade. The toilets blocks are exceptionally clean with plenty hot water in the showers . The site is perfect size and did not feel too busy at any time. I have stayed on bigger more commercial sites and this is so much better. Only a 10 min walk to the beach and Worthing is only 5k away.
This site is a little gem and great value for money, would definitely use gain and recommend.

The Barn Caravan and camping site in Lancing is just excellent. Run efficiently by Joe and Kirsty, they are always on hand for help and advice, toilet and shower blocks are always spotless and well maintained.
The site is never overly busy and they only camp people around the edges of the field with a clear view of kids climbing frames in the middle for the family oriented.
The team there are welcoming and with the addition of the new care on site for essentials it is getting even better.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Small campsite but such a great place, clean, relaxing and quiet (apart from the planes but didn’t bother us ) . We didn’t think the kids would enjoy it as there is not much for them to do but they have a small play area in the Center of the field with a football goal and the kids made friends and were out first thing in the morning and only returned to eat they loved it !! . There is a bar but normally closes at 6.30 but will stay open if it’s busy. It’s a 10 mins walk to the beach, further down there is a restaurant and a small high street. There is also a park 5 mins walk away to walk the dog as I don’t like walking the dog around the campsite when she needed the loo and there isn’t any other fields next to the campsite you can use so the park was the best option.
Showers clean, hot water , only 2 loos and 2 shower cubicles in the females section but only had to wait a few times. One thing we did love was the music they played in there, wish more places did this. The only problem we did find is we showered later in the evening to avoid peak times, the lights are on a sensor and if no one comes in to use the loos your left in pitch black in the shower. Scared my daughter the first time it happened as she had to wait for someone to come in to set the lights on and took her phone in after that.
No food sold here, there is an Asda about 15 mins walk and you can get takes aways delivered here. Bus routes from the main road , we got a Uber into Worthing which was about £10.
Would highly recommend for a small quiet campsite run by a lovely family.

Have been using this site since around 2006 and it gets better all the time.
The Barn has excellent facilities including clean and well maintained shower blocks, spacious level pitches - many with electric hook-up, and now a newly built coffee shop.
The Barn is within easy walking distance from the beach, and is conveniently situated for Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing. It’s a great area for cycling.
Joe and Kirsty maintain the site beautifully and are very friendly and welcoming.
A visit to The Barn in my camper is like a homecoming.

The owners are extremely friendly and made an effort to accommodate us even though the majority of the side was flooded.
It’s a good quiet location, 10 min walk to the sea, pubs, train station and Asda.
Great idea about the music in the showers/toilet block.
Site wasn’t fully open so we couldn’t take the advantage of the cafe/bar.
The only improvement would be warmer water in the shower and better cleaning of the showers/ toilets.

Great little site. Al tents and motor homes pitched in a circle on the outskirts of the field facing the centre which contains a small park and football goal. Short walk to facilities from whatever pitch. Great location - close to local amenities and cheap short train ride from Local station which is accessible by foot within 15 mins walk (when waking with two young children!). Recommend site.

We arrived on Sunday after a trip to Oxford and met Jo on arrival who made our stay very welcoming. The Barn is a lovely well looked after caravan park with spotless showers and toilets. We met with Jo's wife and eldest son who all made sure we felt at home as they were so friendly and pointed us in the right direction of the train, pubs, supermarkets and local takeaways. I would highly recommend this caravan park to everyone and promise your stay well worth the trip.

We booked this site initially back in 2020. Due to the pandemic, we had to wait until 2022 to visit this site. We managed to secure 15 pitches, and we had people come from Bradford, the Lake District, Kent and Hampshire. The first impression was terrific. The shower block was clean, and the facilities were excellent. The newly opened coffee shop was brilliant for all ages serving hot drinks and cold drinks.
The owners were brilliant. They catered for all of our needs and made sure that we had a fantastic stay. The layout was great that we could all see where our kids were all day playing out in the sun.
Everyone that we spoke to is looking forward to a return visit at some point, especially the guys that live in the south.
In conclusion this is an amazing family campsite run by like-minded individuals I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing secure friendly environment.
