We stayed the night in Badgers in the beginning of October on a mid week as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Up-Waltham Barns, and we found that online but the reality was even better. It was the nearest accommodation to the venue. Badgers is like taking a step back in time and makes it a virtue-- it...

I booked a combination of rooms at this pub for one/two nights. I told the pub very clearly guests for each room (under my name) would contact them directly (not myself) to provide names and arrange payments. One room (under my name) was not taken for one night and as instructed the guests for each of the other rooms contacted...

We had a lovely stay here in August. Beautiful room and excellent breakfasts in the morning. We had a really good food in the evening both nights. We called recently and spoke to Phobie regarding the name of the bottle of Malbec which we enjoyed both nights. Apparently not served anymore. She went above and beyond and researched and let...

Good food, but spoilt when it came to pay. I rang up in advance to ask about the offer for the Gourmet Society card, as we were a party of 8 - they checked and rang back to say they could accept 1 card for 4 people in our party. We confirmed this with a member of staff when we...

The food is local and the service is excellent. The restaurant is roomy and comfortable. The beers and wine are varied and local. Great place to eat, drink and stay. Very convenient for racing at Goodwood, Festival of Speed or Revival.

Fillet steak was delicious. Asked for a mushroom sauce, which wasn't on the menu, no problem and it was yummy. The cheesecake was to die for. If passing don't miss out but then again travel the extra mile to get here as its more than worth it. The service was excellent. Nottingham couple

Popped in for sandwiches which were nice and fresh and a drink on passing. Average prices. Staff friendly service quite good. Quaint old pub varied menus. Also do B & B. Cannot comment on other meals served but few people in there.

Was a stop at a whim as folk getting hungry on a long drive from North of England to South of England. As I am based in the North of England I was a little surprised at prices. For a family of four, with drinks and desserts and main meal you will be looking at spending well over £120. Vegetarian...

Stopped at Badgers for a drink and sandwich. Very clean, staff friendly and polite. Quick service, fresh bread and a well filled sandwich. A few locals eating there and not expensive. Open in the evening for meals but need to book. Recommended
