My husband and I spent our anniversary here over the Easter long weekend. A beautiful old heritage building, with lovely little touches, lots of places to sit and relax inside and out. The breakfast was excellent with a European edge - warm boiled eggs, fresh meats, bread pulled fresh from the oven, plunger coffee, tea, fresh juice, fruit and more....

The George is one of those great places that are a pleasure to experience and we think we are very lucky that there are people like the owners who are prepared to run and maintain a place like this. On a road trip down the coast of Australia, it is fairly easy to find a Hotel, Motel, holiday Inn. But...

We stopped to take a break in our travels and were pleasantly surprised. A treasure hidden in the mountains. Our host (the owner) took us on a guided tour of The George and we were impressed.Nice and quiet plus a well stocked library and plenty of space to relax. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the dining room. We will...

The most comfortable bed i slept in on our holiday, very well appointed and spacious room and our bathroom had a huge spa. The historical building has been tastefully decorated by the new owners who's decorative skills are only surpassed by their warm welcome and attention to detail. If you visit I can highly recommend the restaurant (Blue Jax) I...

What a great find. Really quirky hotel, so full of character, with pretty gardens. We had a lovely welcome and lots of helpful advice on viewing spots for the Blue Mountains. Would definitely recommend this place.

Thank you. There are so many fabulous lookouts in the Blackheath area it is hard to know which ones are best. Among our favourites though would be Anvil Rock and Mt York. We look forward to seeing you again.

The Blue Mountains is steeped in history, and The George Boutique Hotel is a great place to stay in the mountains and soak up some of the ambience and history of the region. One of the original guest houses, The George offers a well appointed and comfortable place to stay, together with friendly hosts. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway.

The new owners of this place are doing great things and deserve encouragement. Some of the staff have been here for near a decade and can testify to the changes that are going on. I would recommend that if you are staying here you call the owners rather than book on a website because they are usually pretty generous with...

Recently, with family members, had a wonderful stay at The George. The size of the hotel is deceiving, as single storey building from the front, but double at the back. Our rooms were very tastefully decorated for the era of the hotel, beautiful old-world furniture. The rooms also had television, WIFI and tea making; with own en-suites. The new owners...

Thanks for coming to stay with us. Unfortunately it was a bit warm for the fire in the library when you were here, but hopefully you can return in winter and enjoy the port and chocolates and be nice and warm with the swirling mountain mists outside! The garden in October and November looks particularly lovely with the rhododendrons out.

Our stay was absolute perfection. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel at home. The room was superbly decorated to fit in with the charm of the blue mountains. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the spa bath was heaven. We have found our new go to place in Blackheath...
