Stayed 2 nights. The setting is glorious with views over the valley. The fire was going when we arrived, and the delightful host lit it the next day as we were going to the later Caves tour. Furniture and decor is comfortable.
We were a group of 3 families who stayed at Jenolan cabins, we had booked three cabins in Oct. The location is pretty good on the slope of a hill, closer to nature. The mobile reception is not good which gives a much needed respite from the hustle bustle of urban ways of living. The cabin have two rooms and can sleep 6, with a queen bed in one room and a couple of bunk beds in the other. The weather was pleasant when we visited but a fire will need to be lit up if you are visiting in the colder months. Kitchen has basic amenities to support basic cooking needs. There is a central shetler site with a BBQ where we we spent our evenings around a bon fire ( we had brought our own fire pit). It was very peaceful and we really enjoyed out stay. Will definitley give it go again when we want to escape the city for a good/ peaceful break. Mayfield gardens and Jenolan caves are in close vicinity which can be visited.…
As a group of four families we've been going to Jenolan Cabins on and off for 17 years. That says it all. If it was no good we wouldn't, but time and again we find new things to do and places to visit, or just sit to unwind and catch up. You might want to take your own soap as there was none when we last stayed which was surprising.
This is the third time we have stayed at Jenolan Cabins and have always had a lovely relaxing stay. The hosts are very friendly. Although the cabins are clean and comfortable they are starting to look a bit tired. It is easy to unwind in front of the fireplace taking in the lovely view with the occasional wildlife passing by. As the cabins are self contained it is a good idea to bring in whatever supplies you will need for your stay in case weather closes in. Oberon is only a 15 min drive away. Our bonus this stay was a huge dump of snow - it was amazingly peaceful and magical.
We stayed in cabin one for two nights and it was amazing the fire was lit for us the beds comfy the view was to die for and on top of all that it snowed. it is a short drive to the caves. it had everyone we needed. I would stay again and again
