The motel, built in the 1960s, is on a quiet suburban street about 2km from the centre of Oberon. The RSL offers a courtesy bus to and from the club which serves typical club meals. There is an excellent Thai restaurant in the town centre, not serviced by the RSL bus. Our room and bathroom had elements of the original 1960s style. They were very clean but very, very small and not sound-proofed. The room size can’t be changed but a long towel rail on the bathroom wall and a soap dish in the shower would be a big improvement. One would not need to splash outside the shower reaching for the soap and the rail might allow towels to dry in 24 hours. The room had a comfortable bed with electric blanket, two bed lamps, a small frig, small table and two chairs, kettle, iron and ironing board. The motel grounds are brightly lit all night and the curtains on our window did not block the light from outside.

I’ve alway make my way to Oberon, and always stay at the Hotel. The staff are friendly, know the area and extremely helpful. I’ve see the manager take several people into town on several occasions without charging to go to the pub or shopping. The rooms are clean. Bathrooms are revamped. There are rooms and units to meet everybody’s needs. I see some reviews say it’s cold..... Well it is the highest town in Australia. It is alpine country so pack to stay warm. In saying that summer time is warm.

We visited Mayfield Garden which was a great experience and had booked a room at Titania Motel. On arrival Bradley at reception was most helpful and lent me a phone charger [left mine at home!] The room was very clean ,air conditioned and plenty of provisions in regards to Tea, Coffee & Biscuits. We ordered English Breakfast and what a treat it was when it arrived [on time] The tray was laden with goodies, the food was really hot and allowed us to leisurely eat the cereals & juices. Whoever cooked it went to a great effort and the fresh mushrooms were as good as I have ever tasted. Sausages, Bacon Tomatoes & Eggs as well An all day labourer could not have wanted more . Do not hesitate to stay here it is old but clean and excellent value.

I booked a 2 night stay at the Motel Titania through Hotels.com. Unfortunately due to COVID19 I had to cancel my stay, which I did within my booking’s FREE cancellation period. However on the day I cancelled my booking the Motel incorrectly charged my credit card a cancellation fee equal to one nights stay, which I only picked up at the end of the month when checking my credit card statement. After 2 unanswered emails and numerous unanswered phone calls/voicemails I was able to speak with a staff member called Bradley, who confirmed that I had been incorrectly charged and that it would be refunded. I waited a week and still did not see a refund on my credit card. I tried to contact the Motel again and after another unanswered email and a few unanswered phone calls I once again spoke with Bradley who said he would process the refund this time. A month went by with no refund. In this month I called the Motel daily and not a single call was answered - in fact their phone wouldn’t even ring, it went straight to a message. I called Hotels.com who agreed that I had been incorrectly charged but despite their best efforts they could not reach the Motel either. I called the Visit Oberon tourism centre twice and spoke to nice ladies who said they would walk up to the Motel to see if they could speak to someone regarding my refund. As a last resort I asked a friend who lived locally to visit the Motel and speak directly to a staff member who could process the refund. I also called my credit card company to dispute the transaction. I finally received my refund, 71 days after being incorrectly charged. While I understand that COVID would have certainly disrupted the Motel’s business, I am frustrated that it has taken such a considerable amount of time and effort on my behalf to obtain a refund for a cancellation fee that I should not have been charged in the first place.

Great motel, clean, fantastic room. Nice owner that was so helpful. It was a heat wave weekend and Titania has air con. Other motels in Oberon don’t so it was so good to find this place. Will definitely go back when needing to stay in Oberon again. Recommend
