Rates start at $140 twin share per night for a fully self-contained 2 bedroom apartment with its own kitchen & bathroom. White House is a 110 year old two storey weatherboard mansion situated at 14 Formby Road, Devonport. The house was originally built around 1900 as a manor home. After the first World War the building served as a local maternity hospital. In 1962 the property was extended and converted into 5 separate flats and painted white. It was referred to locally as the White House. Four years ago we found this grand old house in poor repair and at risk from developers. Our plan is to save the house and transform it into a unique accommodation destination on Tasmania's North Coast. Stage one of our renovation is now complete and we're proud to offer 2 fully self-contained two-bedroom holiday apartments. Styling is vintage/retro and the atmosphere is relaxed. Each apartment has its own private kitchen and bathroom and sleeps up to 6 people. All bedrooms contain a queen-size bed. With the addition of 2 single bunk beds in each back bedroom. Each bedroom also has a TV & DVD player. Linen and Towels are provided as is tea, coffee, milk and breakfast cereal. Upstairs Apartment 2 offers great views through the front bedroom bay windows while downstairs Apartment 1 offers great views in its own 3 metre wide high definition movie cinema. Our gas-fired central heating will help make your Winter stay cozy and warm. Your hosts, Moira and Bill invite you and your family (and your pets) to a unique and memorable accommodation experience. Stay for a night or stay for a week.
