Freycinet Eco Retreat was our base on the Freycinet peninsula for 3 nights in December. We were pioneers--the first guests to stay at the newly constructed Studios. This group of rooms, very closely lined up next to each other but situated in such a way to give guests great privacy while in their studio, sits on a hill overlooking Friendly...

We stayed here for two nights and from the moment we arrived we knew we'd made a good decision. Phillippa and Virginia we're welcoming and it's the little things like taking the time to print out the local weather forecast which we appreciated. The accommodation itself was conscious of the surrounds and we saw and echidna before we even got...

Booked three nights for our Honeymoon. So impressed with the facilities from an excellent kitchen, washing machine (great for all the hiking) huge shower and king sized bed that was very comfy. The lounge had music and a home theatre set-up as well. What a stunning view, and little friends (wombats and wallabies) abound. Phillippa and Virginia have thought about...

Great cabins with all the modern comforts located in a secluded section just off the main road in Freycinet close to the Oyster farm. Be careful when you are driving to the cabin as there is an abundance of wildlife. Take your time as you will see many echidna and wallabies on the drive to the cabin. They are located...

Amazing opportunity to stay totally secluded in the beautiful Freyciet National Park. Fantastic view and surrounded by wildlife. Great facilities for cooking during a longer stay. Don't miss the oystes ad mussels from the Marine farm. The owners are happy to give good advice on nice spots to visit or activities in the area. We enjoyed a fantastic run to...

Apologies to any guest who might be considering booking a few nights at Saltwater Shack. This cottage is, unfortunately, no longer available. Although this has been a very popular cottage with guests, as a result of an expansion of the business, we have turned Saltwater Shack over to accommodate our own staff team. However, this also means that we are...

My wife and I recently took a week to drive down the east coast of Tasmania which in itself was an amazing experience. The highlight was our 2 night stay in Freycinet at the Eco Retreat. It was truly an amazing experience - the peace, the tranquillity, the breath taking views - we would highly recommend this property. From the...

We really enjoyed our recent stay in an Eco Lodge as the service, accommodation and views are exceptional. There was so much to do and enjoy outside, that we didn't even turn the TV on. We were so lucky to photograph the Aurora Australis or Southern Lights from the comfort of the large deck. This is the perfect location for...

For the first time I felt at peace in this wonderful lodge. The views are simply breathtaking and you had to pinch yourself on a regular basis. If privacy is what you are after and you need to restore yourself this is the place. You have wildlife from wallabies, birds to echidnas at your door. I can't say enough about...

We recently stayed in the Saltwater Shack for 3 nights, it was an awesome experience and a highlight of our Tasmania trip. The shack is clean, cosy and totally secluded from the outside world. It came well equipped with all the facilities we needed. Great view of the ocean and so much wildlife just at our doorstep- loads of wallabies...

We were lucky to stay in saltwater shack with loads of wildlife surrounded, tree kangaroos, wombat and etc. Had a very pleasant stay in the cozy cabin. Being up in Mt Paul also means there is a good chance to glaze the sky in the starry nights.
