Stayed here recently for two nights. Alan and Margaret are excellent hosts. Make you feel very much at home. Also understand keeping distance and get the balance right for a B&B. Their suggestions for activities were spot on. Restaurant recommendations also good. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. We had breakfast both days...delicious home cooked meals. I spent a lovely relaxing weekend at Sheoks and it couldn't have been better. The owners were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Clean, comfortable rooms, a cosy fire in the sitting room, amazing breakfasts and dinners. This was a real gem and a great base to explore Freycinet. I would love to go back soon!

We're glad that your recent stay at Sheoaks met your need for a totally relaxing weekend. The Freycinet Peninsular has that effect on people! Do come again some time, maybe next Grand Final weekend, so that Alan has someone to enjoy the match with. Margaret. More

Dear Elizabeth and Ken, We're glad you enjoyed your stay in our beautiful part of the world. Of course we'd be delighted to welcome you back any time. There is so much to see and do along our East Coast that a couple of days really doesn't do the area justice, even though we understand that often that's all the... More

A beautiful purpose built B n B in Coles Bay with lovely views to the bay. An easy short stroll to Sandpiper Beach. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable but we felt could have been a little more flexible when we requested a slightly earlier breakfast from our previously arranged 8.30am time due to the fact the weather did not allow... It's good to know that we mostly met your requirements and we hope you enjoyed your stay in our lovely area. As what we offer for breakfast often requires cooking to start well before guests arrive to eat, it's pretty difficult to change to an earlier time at the last minute. It's the food, not us, that has difficulty being... More

As a young couple we visited as a one night retreat. A superb location and hosts are friendly to offer maps on arrival. However we arrived about 1pm and with checkin not until 3pm and were asked to come back. Food was lovely and rooms were pleasant. Suited for a quite peaceful stay.

It's good to know that you found Sheoaks to be a peaceful retreat. That's what we aim for. Apologies if you found our 3.00 pm check in inconvenient, though our confirmation note does include the check in time. 3.00 pm is when our cleaning contractor, who does a number of properties, guarantees to have the guest wing ready. We spent 2 nights as guests of Margaret and Alan at their smashing home. We arrived after they had a suffered a terrible flooding a fortnight previously.
