We had a fabulous time in the gorgeous Red Feather Inn and would completely recommend it to couples looking for a cosy, romantic getaway. We stayed in the Attic room, which is delightful in it's decor and character and has a huge bathroom which allows you to watch the clouds pass by as you relax under a lovely 'rain' shower...

This place is a credit to the owners. Amazing the rooms are romantic and beautiful. There is even a rubber ducky in the bath. The bathroom products are a added bonus. Now for the best bit the food to die for yum. The chef is a very talented man and I can't rate dinner more highly. Would love to return.

My partner and I just attended the Makin' Bacon cooking class which was absolutely amazing! Such a great class to learn all the tricks and tips for smoking and also butchery skills for breaking down a chicken into different cuts and how to butterfly a chicken which will also be very useful. We were sent home with so many wonderful...

We stayed for three nights in the stunning Garden Suite. The two story loft room also had a gorgeous mezzanine bathroom with a huge free standing bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful additional throws. Down stairs was a kitchenette and cozy lounge with wonderfully warm fire place. The Inn was only 15 minutes drive from Launceston...

Despite the fact that management was abrupt and a little unreasonable in its dealings and expectations of paying guests, I can not help but encourage food and history lovers to experience this place first hand. Prices are above average but the food, accommodation, surrounds and staff deliver an experience far above the expected. During our stay, my husband and I...

We stayed here for a weekend getaway from Hobart. Highly recommend the Garden Suite. We'll be back to check out other rooms though as I imagine it's all lovely. The gardens and nearby walk by the river is worth checking out as well. Great staff morning and night and both dinner and breakfast were lovely. Luis' bread (and cooking) were...

Memorably unique and comfortable. Dinner on Sunday was absolutely unforgettably nice but indulgent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nicely quiet. Made us feel at home and will certainly tell our friends

On our brief overnight stay we were welcomed by friendly staff and given a pot of tea by the fire after being shown to our well appointed and cosy room. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and we would highly recommend the Red Feather Inn to others.

So in our infinite wisdom we decided to honeymoon in Tasmania in winter. Which was beautiful - but in our attempt to get from the east coast to the west coast we ran into a once-in-100-years flood that stranded us in Launceston. With our original accommodation at Cradle Mountain inaccessible - and our hopes of a great honeymoon dwindling -...
