The staff were friendly & efficient...free wi-fi available in main building...easy parking. The rooms were bright, clean and well presented...coffee/tea facilities in the room. The large windows/doors opened out onto a shared balcony area overlooking grass and trees beyond. The Port Arthur Historical Site is adjacent to the hotel...very handy! An extremely relaxing and comfortable overnight stay in very pleasant...

A distance to Hobart, but worth the drive back after visiting the historical park. Not much to brag about here. An old room with very used and tired furniture and features; no internet in room.. only in lobby. Staff is very formal, restaurant overpriced by 3x. Move along to better nights stop.

I wasn't planning to write a review of our stay a week and a bit ago, but having read the last review I can't believe we stayed at the same motel. Sure, it's not 5 star but neither is the price. We travel extensively, staying in a range of accommodation and our room here was very clean and comfortable. Just...

We chose this hotel (knowing that it looked quite dated primarily) for it's proximity to Port Arthur. It was indeed dated though this is reflected in the cheap nightly tariff. The room was nonetheless comfortable and more than adequate for our one night stay. Did not spend much time in the room as we were exploring the Port Arthur site,...

I have to hand it to the Port Arthur Motor Inn staff; they nearly all do an excellent job of playing the role of convict jailer to a tee. Rude, condescending, and barely able to hide their contempt of their guests. It made us feel like we were living the lives of the poor unfortunates who'd long passed through this...

The rooms have everything one needs for a comfortable, cosy stay. However, don't expect state-of-the-art facilities. The showers are wonderful and the beds very good. The restaurant is just average (steer clear of the seafood chowder ... although the fish is quite good). The laundry facilities are WONDERFUL! The staff are extremely accomodating. Good value over all.

I booked online as I previously phoned and did not receive good service on this phone call. Easy enough to find, keep going past the port Arthur signs and it's the next turnoff. We stayed for one night and the location is great, use your key to access the historic site so no need to go back and park at...

The information here on Trip Advisor notes free breakfast and 3.5 stars - very spartan breakfast is actually $10 each and I seriously doubt that the inn is 3.5 star-worthy. The "continental" breakfast is toast, cereal, tinned fruit and yoghurt (plus tea/coffee/juice). At $10 each it's expensive, but serviceable. We were not charged for our 4 year old to eat...

We stayed in the motel for one night and had both dinner and breakfast there. The motel room was fine, both clean and comfortable and it couldn't be more convenient for visiting the adjacent historic site. Dinner was more quantity than quality. Breakfast was very poor and uninspiring.

The main advantage of staying here is the location - so close to Port Arthur Historic site that I could see it from my room in the Officers Row. This is by no means a fancy hotel, but it doesn't claim to be. My room was clean and tidy, and the a/c worked great on the chilly evening I was...
