Warning - there is no lift so get a bottom floor room if you have bags +++. the rooms are roomy the bathrooms adequate and the room service good. Staff are personable and the view of you get the sea ward side apartment spectacular.

Hello Anne N, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your honest feedback. We were all pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay overall. Yes, a lift would be great and that is something we are considering. A very expensive undertaking for a hotel that was built in the late 1800. We trust you...

I had booked through booking, com and found when I arrived the room was very old and outdated with the shower over the bath not easy to get in and out. I spoke to the lady at reception who offered an upstairs room with a small extra charge. I told her I was not happy to pay any more as the...

Well words worst customer service, bar and wait staff need a lesson in customer service and self presentation, took over 15mins to get a drink from the bar with only 2 others there at prime time 7pm on a Saturday it then seemed like a big effort for the staff to get my drink. I was then stared at by...

Wanting somewhere to stay for the long weekend, with short notice, we stayed in an upstairs room. Whilst the decor is dated the bathroom was updated and had new tv and heater. The view is fantastic. The room was relatively quiet and we slept well. Staff were really friendly. Bistro meals were good, but recommend booking a table. Great base...

Hello Kylie H, We were delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Upstairs Bay rooms do have a great view. While some of our decor is dated, we are slowly refurbishing these rooms. As you can most likely appreciate, renovations are a long and expensive exercise. I will pass on your favourable comments to our staff, I am sure...

Booked two rooms for myself and four which fronted onto a great indoor pool area. They had hours of noisy fun and I could literally supervise from my room. The rooms themselves while reasonably priced were small and very dated but there where nicer one to be had upstairs. The free Wi-fi was only available in the Bistro area.

We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your time with us and that you choose to stay for 6 days. As you noticed, we are starting to update our upstairs rooms, which will be an ongoing project. More refurbishments, hopefully will be under way mid next year, (with low interruption to our guests). We do hope that you...

This slightly older property offers standard and deluxe accommodation, meals, bar, gaming room and take away bottle shop. We chose a standard room which although a little , dated offered a comfortable stay with the usual facilities. A bonus was their Dining Room breakfast at very inexpensive prices for a large portion. .

Turned up wet and cold after a 250Km ride in torrential rain from Burnie through the Welborough Pass, to be greeted at reception by a lovely young Lass, who couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms (bathroom) had had a make over and a hot hi pressure shower was welcomed! Down stairs and t possibly the only criticism was one poor...

In dire need of a renovation Rooms are old and tired and need to be cleaned thoroughly kids jigsaw pieces under the bed and verandah full of dust and cobwebs. Staff were pleasant but thats it, young man in bar was the only standout in customer service. Food was good.

It's a hotel, not a motel, & certainly not a resort! It's a little old but I thought it was a quaint hotel with a fantastic view!
