We recently stay at The Ark in Stanley and would describe the place as fantastic. We were in the Belvedere room with great views and could not make any negative comments about the room, complete with coffee machine, complimentary capsules and a bottle of wine. Highly recommend this B&B and would stay there again when we are in Stanley.

We stayed in the comfortable Corinthian room at the back of the house. Beautifully decorated with everything you would need. Bathroom was big and well designed. The next morning we had breakfast in the kitchen area with our friendly hosts and another guest. Stanley is well worth visiting ang I wish we'd had more time to explore.

Rhonda and Christer were lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome. They had lovingly restored The Ark and it was just beautiful and had everything that you could possibly need. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was the best.

Whilst the property is predominantly a couples "weekend getaway" Rhonda "child proofed a room and added a couple of rollaway beds for us. We stayed for one night at The Ark with another couple during our two week Tasmanian Tour. The Ark was the stand out, best property we stayed at throughout our trip. The room was beautifully presented and thoughtfully equipped. The bathroom enormous with a lovely double shower, hairdryer, straightener and make up mirror. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Guest House The Ark Stanley is situated in Stanley Tasmania, a restored period residence, positioned directly opposite Tatlow’s Beach and at the base of the plug of an extinct volcano standing approximately 150 metres high, known as The Nut. Our location takes in sweeping views across Sawyers Bay, and of course upward to the impressive and towering Nut. The residence has recently been tastefully restored, renovated and enhanced. With an eclectic decor, paying homage to yesteryear and planning for the future, an outstanding home has been created which is proudly offered for guest accommodation.
