This backpackers is fantastic. We had a cabin to ourselves, which is a bit more expensive than the shared accomodation, but it is still the cheapest accom in town for a couple. The shared kitchen facilities are in two sections, so you have a choice. There is a tv room nearby so you have a certain level of comfort. Bathrooms...

The service was very good. Generally, the facility was good. Unfortunately we encountered a bus load of tourists who were disrespectful of other guests staying. They left the kitchen unclean and did not even wash and clean their dishes (we did it for them on one occasion). When the same group left at 5am, they were noisy, even the tour...

Comfortable. Not convenient going to toilet at night as toilet is in another building and the path it is very dark (suggest having small light). Bath room is very basic just like other backpacker hotels.

We went to Strahan with our hired camper van, the place was very busy and after attending the visitors centre to try and find a touring park we were put in the direction of Strahan Backpackers. They were able to accommodate us at the pack which meant we could use their facilities which although a little basic were clean and...

Me and a friend spent 1 night at the hostel. Small, nice and really good service. For us it was like finding a place like home. And the staff was really good at telling about the local history and atractions.

This is very basic - it's a backpackers. . . We were warm and comfortable and had share kitchen and bathroom The room was small with bunk beds and clean. Had to pay for towels. . I wouldn't really recommend it for a long stay (unless you were only going to be sleeping there). Strahan looked interesting though, unfortunately, we...

I had a little single room, but the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. I slept very well, and that's most important I feel. The hostel was clean, and comfy. Would definitely stay there again!

Quite clean room, cold after sunset but they have warmer in the room so it's fine. Have free wifi, that is good, but no signal in my room so can only use it at kitchen. Bathroom also clean, if can have few more will be better. They get a river at the backyard can see platypus if you lucky.

Very enjoyable place to stay. We booked a room on very little notice during the busy season in tassie with no problems. Facilities were very clean (kitchen, toilet, rooms) which can be tough to find in hostels. Great location couple hours from cradle mountain and right next to the water. They had river cruises which seemed cool but was raining...

I stayed here for two nights while doing a tour of Tasmania, and it provided a great base. The rooms were clean and warm, while the shower areas were spacious and satisfactory. It has a great sized common area, great for our tour group to eat together and play card games in. They also had a wee platypus viewing area...
