This is a charming old Manor that's been restored with beautiful seating areas outside. Inside are lovely warm log fires with intimate seating areas. Strahan is about the Gorden River and Wilderness and Franklin Manor offers a cosy intimate retreat to reflect after a day seeing some of the worlds most spectacular scenery. We were a party of 4 with...

It's an nice looking old manor with reasonable comfort. Good beds, spacious rooms and a breakfast which is OK Located in walking distance from the town and the restaurants. If its the best in Strahan we're not sure but for us it was good enough.

We stayed at Franklin Manor 3 nights in January 2017. The house is located on the Esplanade and is easy to find. It has parking, but we did note some overflow parking outside the main area on one of our nights. It is an easy walk from the centre of Strahan - less than 5 minutes, and on a nice...

Nice hotel/B&B with a warm welcome. The rooms are not big, but clean and with a warm atmosphere. The manor is inside a big garden, you cannot see the water. Nevertheless we would come back definitely again, since we enjoyed the stay very much.

There are not many fine lodging options in Strahan but from all those available, Franklin Manor is the best choice for good comfort and overall value. It is located away from the main drag but it takes no more than 15 minutes to walk to all of the restaurants and attractions that Strahan has to offer. Franklin Manor is a...

A great place to stay in a large hose. Not the normal hotel at all. Convenient for local restaurants and walks. Breakfast adequate but no hot food. An honesty bar provides your drinks as manager does not live on the premises. Left to your own devices at night but system seems to work. Situated in lovely grounds and friendly staff.

The rooms are lovely. Very impressive. Walking distance to Hamers Bar and Grill an excellent place for dinner. Honesty Bar, an honest way to drink and pay. Breakfast was a small spread of ready made stuff. Nothing fresh. One can't even get eggs. Hence just the 4 stars. One of the ladies handling breakfast was not too pleased to see...

We were met by the charming manager who was having quite a tough day, a mix up with rooms... but who could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We had read the Lonely Planet Guide (updated in 2015) which promised a fine wine cellar and a good restaurant, sadly long gone - five years ago! While the architecture of...

Upon arrival there was a double mix-up with our room but then we finally got our booked spa-suite which was charming with a fireplace and beautiful view into the lush garden. The manager was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast is kept quite simple and there is some room for improvement regarding the...
