The new managers are very friendly and trying to make ppl feel welcome. Just a suggestion, I think the free breakfast could be a little better. Fresh bread from the bakery down the road and some local jams and honey would make an enormous difference. Maybe some fresh fruit. A bowl of Local apples, as they do in other places...

Our room was on the ground floor and it was spacious and well decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and well finished. Our hostess was very helpful. Breakfast is only continental....a pity as the dining room lends itself to a slow enjoyable hot meal. Our friends stayed upstairs and there accommodation was lovely. There is no lift...

This is a lovely house and the rooms are great although be aware you will have to lug your luggage up stairs and one set is a bit narrow. The real issue was the first morning when I and 3 other sets of guests got up for breakfast due at 7 before going out to our activities. No one appeared!...

If you want a super fresh hotel style b&b, look elsewhere. If you want a place filled with memories and ready to leave you with some new ones, then make sure you make a stop here. Yes, it's pokey for a hotel... but it should be! It was once a manor! Which means, it was once a home. And it...

New managers have just taken over & are doing their best to welcome you. They couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Room was cozy warm & spacious. Was a bit fresh on the ground floor. Continental breakfast was complimentary. Would be a lovely venue in the future for dinners.

We stayed here for one during our visit to Strahan. Rooms aren't huge but ample for a short stay. Nice cosy fireplace in the lounge area. Franklin Manor is just past the town center and easily found. Would definitely recommend.

Oldish style B & B with small room and stuffy conditions. Mediocre service, For those who do not like 4 or 5 star accommodation. But nice location and walk to local township which is quaint with mediocre eating houses

I agree with the recent review of Franklin Manor. From the moment we arrived til our departure it was a sad, sombre place. Our interactions with staff whilst not unfriendly, weren't particularly engaging. Breakfast was boring and bland. Shame cause it is a lovely old house with lots of potential.

Charming from the outside, I think this BnB's glory days have passed. The common rooms are in quite good condition but we were disappointed with our room. It had a musty smell and dated curtains and bedspread. It wouldn't take much to update them. The bathroom was dated as well. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of...
