Set right on the waterfront Strahan Village is your ideal base for west coast explorations. The individual cottages and terraces take you back to a time when the wild West was inhabited by miners, piners, fishermen and their families. Fitted out with a variety of room types, the cottages recall an old-world charm with every modern facility. Above the harbour, the 4-star rooms of the Hilltop have sweeping views over Macquarie Harbour. Tasmanian Tourism Awards Winner 2013 "Standard Accommodation".

Stayed in unit in Millers Terrace up behind main rooms. Was quaint a bit old style but quite comfy for our needs. The pub and bakery are excellent but they were the only establishments open nearby. Did the Gordon River cruise which is a must. Also did Hogarth Falls waterfall.

Do you have Internet access
Yes there is wifi, your will get passwords at check-in. The connectivity is a little weak. Most phones also do not work, I had a Vodafone and it did not get any coverage. Telstra has good coverage in the area as per other people.

We found the wifi slow and frustrating in most hotels in Tassie except Launceston! Just be prepared to use your phone data 😊

Hi Endless-Summer-Melb View 42 Restaurant offers a buffet breakfast price starts from $27.00 and is open from 6.30 am in summer. Alternatively there is Banjos Bakery on the Esplanade that offers a la carte options. There is plenty of time to grab breakfast before boarding the Lady Jane Franklin II. regards Brad
