This hotel was the perfect choice for us while visiting family and friends in the area. It’s set away from the noise of traffic in a large, upscale retail complex with lots of restaurants, and it’s not far from the highway. Pricing is excellent during winter months, as not many people travel to Cleveland while it’s so cold, so the hotel is less crowded and noisy than during the city’s other lovely seasons (however unpleasant the extreme cold may be for some people, winter here can be quite beautiful). Our room faced a wooded field, so it had a pleasant view too. It was only noisy when a family with rambunctious kids took the room above us, one of them bouncing a ball against the floor for an hour.

Although there is no spa or restaurant on-site, it’s close to many options in the complex and nearby Beachwood and South Euclid areas. The free parking garage is a definite money-saver. The free buffet breakfast is a convenient benefit as well, although we preferred the food at restaurants.

The relatively spotless and very comfortable, modern room with one king bed has a separate sitting area, mini fridge and large TV screen with a decent selection of channels. The bathroom is spacious with a large walk-in shower stall.

Except for one impatient young man at the desk, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my first time in a hotel since Covid. They take it seriously. You can check in online and just stop to pick up your keys. Hand sanitizer and wipes were plentiful. The staff was very nice, and patient when I asked questions since I was unsure how things were in a hotel in a post Covid world. They don’t clean the room if you are only there for two nights, but they will gladly get you any extra towels or supplies you may need. The breakfast selection was fine. They have an indoor pool (that I didn’t have time to try but it was a nice size), and a 24 hour fitness center. The fitness center had decent options, and was stocked with both towels and wipes. They are located at the back of the mall near the parking garage, where you are able to park for free. There is a Starbucks mere steps away if you need a Starbucks fix. Very easy to check out online also.

Within an hour of many major attractions, clean with hot and cold food for complimentary breakfast. Food was wrapped, individual portions or served in to go containers.

The hotel appeared newly renovated and overall well kept and clean.

There was a nice indoor pool and gym for working out.

It is within walking distance of good restaurants, a supermarket and shopping. The location offers quiet, peace and park like suburban views without being desolate like a rural area or bleak like an airport location

Friendly staff. it is a great value. We would most certainly return

Hyatt Legacy Village is in an excellent location. We were in Cleveland for John Carroll University return of students. Staying in this Location with the associated mall provides excellent resources above and beyond the hotel. Rooms were perfectly clean and everybody was suitably friendly. This really is an ideal location if staying in the Beachwood area of Cleveland. One cannot say enough about how clean this hotel is. It is distinctly above and beyond what one typically expects at this price point. This is probably our fourth stay at this particular hotel and each time we have had similar good experience. One other additional feature that aids your stay at this location is that there is a laundry facility where one can do your own laundry. This is really a very helpful addition!!

My only complaints about this facility are covid-19 related . There weren’t any signs restricting the number of people in elevators. Drinking glasses in the hotel room were not wrapped in paper to keep them clean . There wasn’t any information in the room as to what extra procedures had been done to keep the room clean during the pandemic.

My biggest issue was that every staff member I saw except for the manager (at least 5 people) had their masks hanging around their necks!! When I approached the manager he said they were supposed to be wearing them correctly and would address it with the staff. He was very nice and seemed to appreciate what I had told him. I didn’t see any staff members from that point on so I am unable to comment on whether or not they began wearing their masks correctly.

The only reason I am writing this is that I would want to know someone else’s experience when deciding where to stay during the pandemic. I am not a resident of Ohio and the state in which I live may have tighter restrictions on what is acceptable. However, the manager confirmed that masks were to be worn correctly by employees which they had not been doing . I don’t know if this was an isolated incident or a standard behavior for these employees.

Otherwise my stay was fine.

One would expect that during this Covid period that a hotel would be thrilled to have clients. Not this hotel! They made you feel that you were imposing on them to offer any service. We have stayed here on many occasions and I do not know what has happened to this hotel but it is not good. If you are expecting to have your room cleaned, you had better tell them to do it or you will return to whatever you left. In our case, because of Covid, we ordered out so the remainder of our meal, which, of course, had been placed in the trash was waiting for us. No clean towels, no new cups to take medication, bed unmade, ect. And, when we called, they asked if we would like clean towels like it was a novelty that people expected them. They only thing that we received during our 2 night stay was a bed. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The Hyatt Place in Lyndhurst is part of a suburban development that includes stores and chain restaurants.

Getting to the actual hotel isn't that easy, at least using the address that comes up with Apple Maps. Driving directions take you through the whole development.

Parking is free on the third and fourth floors of a shopping mall parking garage. However, the garage is not attached to the hotel.

So, you have to walk about 100 yards on sidewalks to get to the hotel. The pathway isn't covered. If you have luggage, you should drop the luggage before parking. The architect that designed the hotel and parking garage without connecting the two was an idiot and should never design another hotel again. I can't imagine what it's like in the winter with snow or when it rains.

The hotel itself opened a few years ago and is starting to show its age.

No USB outlets anywhere in guest rooms. Accessible electrical outlets to charge devices are few and far between.

The 43-inch TV is fine but most hotels these days have TVs between 50 and 55 inches.

Walk-in shower had some mold, mildew or grime in the sliding door area because the design doesn't make it easy to clean and remove water and moisture.

Some of the furniture was stained, scuffed, scratched or otherwise showing wear and tear. The carpet was also frayed in a few places.

Some new TVs and a room update would make a big difference. At least put some USB and electrical outlet strips at the desk.

There's a bar with drinks but no food. Breakfast is an average Hyatt Place buffet with two or three hot items, yogurt, a berry compote, juice, cereal, and coffee. Basic but sufficient. The coffee was always running out. I felt sorry for the one attendant who seemed to be doing everything from making coffee to cooking up the food. He couldn't replenish the coffee quick enough.

No local newspapers.

All thing considered, the Hyatt Place is an average or mediocre Hyatt Place. Not the worst, but not the best. I would only return if the rates were good.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this location. The area is very nice with several food options within walking or very short driving distance (Starbucks, Chipotle, The Cheesecake Factory, etc.) with many other suburbs of Cleveland within 10 minutes. It is located in an outdoor shopping mall, and directly across the street from a large indoor mall. Parking was easy and free in the garage and there's a grocery store directly next door. We stayed in a king room on the 6th floor, but did have a slight issue with our room's air conditioner being out of order. We brought this to the front desk's attention later in the evening and we were in a new room in less than 10 minutes. Awesome customer service! Both rooms were very clean, especially the bathrooms and the beds were comfortable with a top sheet, a down comforter, and a lighter top blanket. We weren't particularly impressed with the complimentary breakfast, but there were really great options nearby. We had no issues with noisy neighbors and declined housekeeping although we saw them all the time, so they were definitely keeping rooms clean and stocked! Overall had a great stay and would recommend.

This hotel had extremely friendly staff that not only interacted with me, but also my children. Breakfast was hot and delicious and the 24/7 workout room was clean and had updated equipment. The pool was great and the kids loved it. The location is fantastic and easy to get to and although you park in a garage, it is free and NOT sketchy AT ALL. You’re in a more upscale environment. Will be visiting again!

The hotel is a few miles off of interstate 271, on a fairly major, multi laned local road. It is actually located BEHIND Legacy Village and away from traffic noise. Very nice place to stay if you are in need of a hotel in that area.
