We have a lot to offer. We are located in the heart of downtown Put in Bay. We are the only Put in Bay hotels on Delaware Ave with a Caribbean style, MIST swim up pool bar with cabana bottle service. We are also proud of Mr. Ed’s Bar and Cameo Pizza. Mr. Ed’s has become a must needed stop for great food and great entertainment. Known for their delicious pizzas, subs, salads and apps. Even open late night until 3:30am! Need to dance? Party the night away in the open air at the Green Room, a dance club atop of Mr. Ed’s Bar. Open Weekends at 10:00pm. Yes! This is true! Commodore Resorts has a Subway Restaurant located in the hotel lobby. Need a golf cart for the day? Ask at the front desk. We have that too. One of the best Put in Bay hotels! Please note all of our establishments are 21 and older.

Our room was tinier than expected, especially the bathroom. The door practically opened up into the toilet which was very tiny itself as well. The comforter had holes in it. The side of the box spring had some stain that looked like pizza sauce or blood. The room smelled of smoke. There was a hair on the sink when we got there as well. The lobby entrance is right by lots of trash cans so it stank terribly every time we had to go by. Also, the main reason I chose this hotel is because of the nice pool but apparently it closes at 8 pm and doesn’t even open back up until 11 am after you would have had to check out. Way over priced for what they provide. Oh, and the golf carts cost more there than other places, but we rented ours there because we were told they’d be cheaper.

Hi Victoria, we are working making the rooms more inviting with newer furniture and new bed covers. I am currently working with the new housekeeping manager, who got thrown into the job when our other one got sick, to improve the housekeepers practices next season. I realize this does not help you with your past experience but hope you will try us again in the future. Unfortunately the pool is managed by others and when there is no business they have to close it due to the liquor license and liability of no lifeguard on duty. We do allow guests to use the pool after check out however, we do not store luggage.

The place was dirty, customer service was bad. Kelly is not meant for customer service.
When we arrived at the motel we were told our room was under maintenance we would have to take a room, but move to a second room the next day. On day 2 Kelly told us to wait by the phone so she could tell us when our room would be ready.. She called me at 1:03 p.m. to tell me The room was ready. Only to find out we were locked out of room #1 that held our belongings.
We had plans of exploring the island that morning but instead we waited till after lunchtime on Kelly's call.
As we sat by the pool waiting on her call we were told we couldn't have any food in the pool area unless, it was purchased from the resort itself.
We could not take any drinks from our room into the pool area. No water no soda or iced tea.
The big white security guard at the Pool was inspecting people's bags like we were trying to enter a prison yard. He was digging through everybody's personal belongings and then touching our personal belongings. Now, as a reminder Covid is spreading out there like crazy. Here is this clown touching everybody's belongings and if there were any germs he is being a super spreader and passing the germs on the next person's belongings.
Our 1st room had dried puke on the bed skirt that skirt and the Box Spring was broken I'm one of the beds. Our 2nd room was cleaner but I would not say it was clean.
The hallway floor was warped and wet my friend just about fell on it!!
The day we go to leave the elevator is broken we have luggage on the 3rd floor.. Nobody offered to help with it knowing the elevator was broken.
The day before the elevator broke we had the pleasure of riding in it with 3 housekeepers, one of them holds a stack of face cloths over her mouth as a mask.. The same wash cloth that customers are washing their face with.

I've stayed here before and it was up to pretty much what you'd expect from a PIB Hotel. However, this time they assigned me to a room behind the pool in the separate building which is not part of the main building. This room type is *SIGNIFICANTLY* inferior and yet they charge the same price for this type of room. It is tiny and extremely outdated. A Motel 6 room would have been far superior to this room. Had I known I would have been assigned a room back there, I would absolutely not have booked it and would have stayed elsewhere.

To make matters worse, we were assigned a room right along the back alley by the dumpsters so you're constantly greeted with the stench of dumpster juice (that leaks across the street) all day. Also, I know it was late season but they list their pool hours as opening at 10AM and both days they were not open until atleast Noon. I would have otherwise not left this review as it's PIB and we barely intend to be in the room for any meaningful time, but this place went out of it's way to be actively aggravating. My expectations were very low and I was shocked they still somehow managed to come up short!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Staff was no good. We were there three days and housekeeping never came to clean the room or provide fresh towels or toilet paper. We had to go to front desk twice to get fresh towels and TP. Do not you recommend this hotel at all for the money you pay.

I am sorry we could not service your room, but per our local health department it was not recommended that we enter a room after the guests have checked in. We were also advised not to have extra toilet paper in the rooms because of the uncertainty of how long the virus can stay on items. We have learned so much recently that we finally can change some of our Covid-19 protocols to keep extra tp and other items in the room.

A group of 10 of us went to Put in Bay for a birthday celebration. We decided to try the Commodore Resort based upon it's location and pool. This hotel was a good choice. The rooms were nice, the pool was fun, the staff were friendly, and the stay was fun.
The pool was active all day and we met a lot of nice people during our four day stay. The biggest suggestion I would be is park your car and leave it, walk or rent a golf cart. Truthfully, everything worth doing is within walking distance.
The Subway at the resort was open for breakfast and the sandwiches were always hot and fresh. We would definitely stay at the Commodore again but it's not a place for those wanting peace and quiet, but if you are into being entertained and meeting people, your mission will be accomplished.

Stayed here for two days and had no hot water in the room. They said they fixed it the first day then said it was everyone taking showers. The second day was 6AM and there was still no hot water. If you value the finer things in life like Hot Water, Toilet Paper, or Clean Sheets stay somewhere else. The pool area is very nice the rooms are dirty and worn

Good thing we had a gift card because I never would have stayed at this hotel for full price. I’ve never been to this hotel and will never return. When we got to the room it smelled terrible and was musty and damp. The dampness never went away the entire time. The floor felt like it had oil on it. The bedspread was ripped and the bed was hard as a rock. The pillows were lumpy. The lamps weren’t plugged in and one didn’t even work. There was food left in the mini fridge from the previous person which means it never even got checked by housekeeping. If you want a nice place to stay do your research and definitely don’t stay here. It’s absolutely not worth the money!!

Sorry Amy that you did not have an enjoyable stay. We are in the process of changing the bedspreads as the ones we had are out of stock to get new ones as they get burned or ripped. I am surprised to hear about the food left in the refrigerator and will address this with my housekeeping manager. Hopefully you will try us again in the future and see the new rooms.

Pool was not open as stated over the phone prior to my reservation. When approaching the front desk to inquire about a discount on an extra day when the pool would be open they threw me out. I slept on the ground in the cold. It was my birthday. Scuzzy staff. Horrible pillows. Pizza not good.

Where do I even begin?

This hotel was unfortunately booked without most of our party knowing where we were staying. Had we known what a dump it was, we probably would have moved our hotel reservations elsewhere.

The Commodore claims to be a “resort hotel” and it’s everything but! To check-in, you have to enter the lobby from the sketchiest alleyway and are greeted by hotel workers who could care less that you are staying with them; the experience definitely doesn’t scream “be our guest!”

Our party quickly realized how unclean the rooms were after walking around barefoot or with socks on only to discover our feet and previously white socks were black from the dirt on the floors. One of the mattresses had a very questionable dried, red stain on the bottom. In addition to that, someone before us had wiped their boogers on the bathroom wall and housekeeping couldn’t be bothered to wipe them off the wall before we arrived.

I’m questioning how this hotel earned any stars to begin with. I know there isn’t much to choose from on the island, but I’d camp in a tent before staying at The Commodore “Resort Hotel” again.
