Our family stayed one night during our road trip from NYC to Chicago. Cleveland was an ideal stopover and the Towneplace Suites really provided us with exactly what we needed for a quick stay. There was free EV charging which was a huge plus for us and the room was very spacious for our family (traveling with two young kids). We were traveling on New Years Day and was lucky that a Dibella's Subs was right near the hotel and was still opened! We happily picked up dinner and enjoyed it in the comfort of our suite. The room was very clean and equipped with everything you could need - full-size fridge, microwave, plates, cups, utensils, and a nice-size table with 4 chairs. They provided a hot breakfast with a nice variety of food. Highly recommend this location.

Wonderful hotel. Wonderful staff. Everyone went out of their way to assist my Family and our toddlers. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We visited during COVID and as expected the pool & breakfast are closed; fitness center is limited and the bar is available only certain hours. Breakfast options were more than expected due to current state of affairs. My family prefers to clean up after themselves so no housekeeping wasn’t an issue. The ladies at the desk were able to get us towels, fresh sheets & additional amenities quickly and with a smile. They even allowed us to use their vacuum. If you choose to travel during COVID, please know that services are not as you’ve always expected, however, the hotel staff is doing their best to ensure a safe & clean stay.

We spent 1 night here using Marriott points (10K) as a Lifetime Titanium member. We were given Room 306 which was not an upgraded room. When we entered the room, it smelled like smoke. Also, even though the hotel is fairly new, opened April 2018, things were falling apart like the baseboards. And the room did not feel that clean.
Breakfast was 6:30 am - 10 am and they did serve hot items.
We chose this property due to its proximity for our visit to Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

This was quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had a hotel and customer service. Dolly the manager is ignorant and rude. She charged me for three rooms and told me that she was NOT fixing anything because they did nothing wrong. She also repeatedly cut me off from speaking, telling me to be quiet so she could talk. I am still waiting for my issue to be resolved and the customer service agent was just as ignorant and rude as the manager. I will NEVER visit this hotel again & encourage others not to go here either.

Positives- very friendly staff, the best egg frittatas ever included in the complimentary free breakfast (may have been better than Starbucks egg bites), check in was easy, very comfortable bed, small kitchenette in room that included apartment sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Not so positives- I feel like the room could have been a little cleaner, 3rd night there I could hear person above me walking as if they had bricks strapped to the bottom of their feet, could also hear this person snoring at night. Not sure if the place was built cheaply or if there was just an exceptionally loud person above me. If I were staying there longer I would have asked for a room change. Bottom line-I would definitely stay there again!

I was very disappointed with the way my friends and myself were treated during our stay. I was traveling with another couple who became locked out of their room. There was no staff available at the front desk, they did not answer the courtesy phone, and the bartender said he had nothing to do with the front desk. My friends even went behind the desk into the back employee space and said no one was there. Luckily their keycard worked after the seventh try. We had intended to meet for drinks at the bar. But after this, they were afraid to leave the room again and not be able to key back in. However, this was in their favour in the long run. The bartender, Tim, was awful. I admit he was overwhelmed by a wedding party. But he became very rude. He wouldn't accept my payment for my drinks until he had served multiple other guests. I just wanted to close my tab and get out of his way. After 15 minutes and seriously considering just taking my drinks and leaving without paying, he took my credit card and then wouldn't give me a copy of the receipt. I left, only to find when I got back to my room that the credit card was not returned to my husband. We went back down to the bar to find he had just left my card on the bar where anyone could have taken it. I was so angry, it was difficult to even sleep. I tried to complain as politely as possible in the morning at check out that when a wedding party is known to be staying at the hotel, perhaps they should have more than one person running the bar and zero persons running the front desk.

As a frequent traveler, my stay at TownePlace Suites Cleveland Solon did not meet the usual Marriott standards. While the facilities appear relatively new, the experience was disappointing. The room struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature due to the basic thermostat, and the bedding was uncomfortable. Additionally, the customer service was lacking. Overall, the stay fell short of my expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience

Most comfortable beds, best in-room kitchens, best breakfast, best staff; just an overall fantastic stay. I’ve lived in and out of hotels for more than a decade, and I’m thoroughly impressed. Onsite laundry service or self-serve. Suites feel like a home.

Room was never once serviced during recent three night stay. We received no clean towels, no made bed and no apology after reporting situation to front desk. Promise from manager to check on room never happened. We were lied to and ignored. Someone also screwed up our key card so we were not able to access our room on final night. Front desk was rude, obnoxious and incompetent. There are other places to stay across the street. No customer deserves abusive treatment.

Yolanda checked us in for our stay. She was friendly, offered suggestions for dining in the area. She provided us with a print out of the local restaurants. When we asked about a place to get ice cream, The manager Dolly came to the desk and suggested Mitchell's. The ice cream was great. Both Yolanda and Dolly inquired if we were satisfied with our room. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel is clean and well lit. I was greeted by breakfast staff in the morning when I went down for breakfast. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. I will be back in the area again in the near future. I will stay at this hotel again. The staff works great as a team and hats off to Dolly and Yolanda for making me feel at home.

Most likely because it doesn’t have a restaurant. You can find Trip Advisor’s “STARS” explanation elsewherre on the website. Usually the # of stars relates to what the hotel provides.
