Detailed Reviews
I stayed in another great Marriott property during my seventeen stay in the Sates. This time I stayed in the Cleveland Marriott East in Cleveland, Ohio.
This hotel is located just off of the Interstate 271 so you avoid all the downtown Cleveland traffic. The hotel is also near the famous Beachwood Mall and within walking distance from the Marriott are many, many restaurants.
The Cleveland Marriott East is a full service Marriott property including a bar and limited service restaurant due to COVID-19.
What I really enjoyed was the great Executive Lounge called the: “M Lounge”, strictly for Marriott Bonvoy Reward Members. Each morning I had enjoyed a very, very nice complimentary breakfast.
My room was quite large and as always with a Marriott property very, very clean.
The hotel also had a free washing machine plus a dryer on the 7th Floor.
I look forward in my return to this great Marriott property.

My husband and son spent two nights here while in town for a hockey tournament. They called me the first night and said it was the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at over the last 4 years of travel hockey. They said the rooms were clean, beds super comfortable, and the team greatly appreciated being provided with a clean and empty conference room to play knee hockey (so smart!). My husband said the staff could not have been nicer. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to play hockey in the area!

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding in the Cleveland area. It was a well appointed hotel, clean, friendly staff at the front desk. Our hotel room was quite nice. It had a king size bed and a sofa area. When I really loved was the bathroom with the glass shower. There could’ve been more room for storage in the hotel room, but everything was nicely appointed and there wasn’t any issues with dinged up furniture or ripped wallpaper everything was very nice. So we were quite pleased. We would stay at this hotel again in the future if we were in the Cleveland area. Also the lounge on the first floor was very modern and contemporary and everything was neat and tidy and comfortable feeling.

Was overcharged for the incidentals on both rooms the 1st night at $120 each room when it was suppose to be $50 each room.
2nd, they couldn't find the 2 reservations for the 2nd night & the clerk stated we could handle it the next day because the manager wasn't available at the moment. So when we renewed our keys the next day we were told we were charged for both rooms on top of the reservations we had with the 3rd party company. They decided to charge the card on file without permission. This was 1 of the worst hotel experiences ever.

Went to check in and didn’t have any rooms of my type available. I stay here at least 3-4 nights per month and the front desk was less than accommodating. Left and went to Embassy Suites which had my exact room ready and is only 1/2 mile down the road. Marriott just lost a long-time Titanium member. Redeeming rewards has become a pain anyway, you can never get the room you need. Time to try Hilton

I needed to stay at a hotel near the hospital due to a sudden illness of my husband. My daughter (who is a platinum member) booked two nights for me and I was graciously upgraded to the concierge floor. Granted, during covid there a few if any perks but I was ok with that, however the amount of dust along the headboard of the bed was impressive not to mention that there was absolutely no “amenities” included in the room including water, pen or paper, information about the hotel etc. Not sure if that is is because of the pandemic but there wasn’t even enough coffee fo a two day stay or sufficient cups to get you through. During our travels even lesser quality lodgings offered you bottled water at check in. Not sure what to expect but if you are looking for absolute bare bones service this is the place to stay for sure!!

We stayed here for a week during a trip to the Cleveland area, as Marriott Elite members we were treated to the executive level with access to the M Lounge. The M Lounge had nice food offerings especially in the morning with lots of variety for breakfast; drinks and snacks available anytime of day as well. This lounge was very well stocked, way to go!!! Our room was modern, clean and spacious, the shower had great pressure and the bed was super comfy! Staff was very pleasant all around, our 1st room was not to my liking but Gigi at the front desk corrected that and gave us a room that was satisfactory, thanks Gigi! :) Many shopping and dining options all around the property. I would recommend and would love to return someday!

We stay almost entirely at Marriott properties. Now they own so many others (Sheraton, etc.) but still, they are Marriott properties. This one is a beautiful hotel but lacks so many things!
First of all, the line at the front desk was always so long. One person working, even when a convention was checking in. Second, there is no breakfast included. Not even a minimal continental breakfast. There is a Starbucks in the lobby area but I did not see it open at all during the 3 days we were there. Third, and I mean really, the bathroom has a glass door. It's a barn door style, sliding at the top, and there is a gap of about 3" on either side even when the door is closed. And it's glass! It's frosted, but still you can see through it. And the crack is just a 3" window straight into the shower. I am going to start asking if hotels have sliding glass doors in their rooms and staying elsewhere! This is our second in a month and they are awful! It would be okay if you are staying with a spouse, but if you are traveling with another person or another couple, it's positively awful. They have a very small gift/sundry shop off the lobby with snacks and packages of Tylenol and such, but there was no one available to pay if purchasing there and the line at the front desk was so long I just didn't bother picking up the item I needed.
We did get our room straightened and fresh towels were left for us which was nice. Not everyone is doing that these days. The pool looked nice and all the meals for our convention were nicely presented. The staff for the meals were excellent and very efficient. The front desk staff was nice but rushed. It's nice that they come around the counter to hand you your key and point out the elevator. Not their fault they have no breakfast and glass bathroom doors!

Marsha, our team will greatly appreciate your kind words regarding their warm service. However, we understand you would prefer swifter responses and we will continue to work on our staffing following these challenging times so no further inconveniences are endured by our valued guests. It's terrific to hear housekeeping was on point and impressed you daily as we understand this is very important for a comfortable getaway. However, we are disappointed our in-room features and breakfast rates left something to be desired for you. We take your feedback to heart and always look for ways to enhance. We will be discussing these internally. I hope we have the chance to restore your complete confidence in our Brand one day soon.

As a HH Diamond member I usually book Hilton properties. However the last few Hiltons did not have the restaurant or bar open (even one Curio had no coffee) so I decided to try a Marriott.
Very pleased with the cleanliness, safety and service during these unique times. The restaurant RC Grille was open and was able to have a nice meal, drinks and coffee in the AM (they were serving breakfast as well). And there are some other dining options in the plaza and a short drive to the Pinecrest shopping / dining district with choices like Pinstripes and Slyman's Tavern.
I would stay here again.

This Marriott has become my go-to hotel for business travel in the area.
The hotel is clean, well maintained, staff is great, rooms are comfortable and it is a good location. River City Grille is their restaurant and offers cooked to order complimentary breakfast to elite members. There is also an executive lounge that is open for members.
Restaurants close are including Cooper Hawk.
Recommended.

Technically only for floors 7 and 8. But it wasn’t necessary. We were in 7 and never used the keycard for the elevator. The M Club, yes - admission is by keycard.
no mine
it was pretty old
Hi Kallie.
