Stayed here 2 nights on a Road Scholar trip. Rooms were newly renovated and brand new. Rooms are very spacious and clean, Well stocked with towels. Meals provided for our group were good with lots of food. Good set up for the buffets. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is still being renovated in a few places. Good location to walk around town.

We stayed here while visiting Bend Oregon for the first time. The location is great for being able to walk around downtown Bend without worrying about parking. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom seemed a tad small, and the sink area was in the main room, which is not ideal. We got a balcony room, but were disappointed that tall trees obstructed the view of Mt Bachelor and the Cascades. Perhaps a room on a higher floor would have better views. This hotel is reasonably priced for Bend, but parking cost extra, and the breakfast they offer costs $13, but it's not worth it.

Location is perfect. Being charged to park wasn't cool but you're in "downtown" Bend, everything cost money. Rooms were clean and made to order breakfast was nice. The staff was awesome. Scott at the front desk was super nice. We went to a concert at the amphitheater and afterwards came back, sat at the bar, had a couple drinks and some wings. Chris, the bartender was amazing. Funny as hell! He had a ton of local knowledge of things to go do in the area. We would have never known about the Lava Caves if he hadn't told us about them. He even stayed open a little later to accommodate us. In a day and age where customer service is almost nonexistent, he made us feel at home. You can tell he loves his job and is great it. The only negative things were no more DT cookies, and the internet was crappy, but the breakfast, wings and drinks made up for it. They should still fix the internet though. We will definitely be coming back to see more concerts and will be staying there anytime we are in Central Oregon. Recommend!

TLDR: WiFi’s too slow to stream videos, the air conditioner is too loud to sleep with, they charge for parking without telling you. Other hotels are nicer for cheaper.
The experience of this hotel was awful. When I checked in I connected to the WiFi and found an upsell to “premium” internet service. I declined on principle. Internet access is an essential component of accommodation and it should never be locked behind a paywall. The “free” version of the internet could barely load photos and webpages. It was embarrassing how bad it was and cheaper hotels in the area offer far better service.
When I decided to sleep I had a hard time due to the air conditioning unit. This unit had the uncanny ability to sound like an industrial unit while simultaneously failing to push much air around at all. The air itself was barely warm. The room planners had the good sense to place it right next to the bed so it could wake me up throughout the night.
When I finally had checked out and returned home I found the hotel receipt to be higher than expected. The price had risen higher than the other options in the area. I’d only chosen this hotel for its cheap price tag and location, so this bothered me. I found that i had been charged ten dollars for parking. It is another failing that other hotels don’t have.
The only positive aspect of this hotel was its location. It is within walking distance of downtown for a nice dinner in the evening and a nice cafe in the morning.

We spent three nights at the Doubletree in Bend, and after the first night of our stay seriously contemplated checking out and heading somewhere else. While our room was spacious there was a note on our thermostat that it was broken and to use the controls on the wall unit, and the wall unit had a note to use the thermostat. We were able to get the air conditioning turned on, but it never blew cold air no matter how low I set the unit. In addition, the constant fan did not work and between the loud refrigerator and the loud heating and cooling unit turning on and off all the time it was hard to sleep.
The wifi was pretty useless regardless of the time of day you tried to get on. I am a diamond member and tried both the basic and premium wifi service to no avail. Stopped down at the front desk to inquire about the issue and the staff said this was a common complaint and there wasn't anything they could do. To exascerbate the situation we were on the backside of the property, and our Verizon internet was incredibly poor. If I went to the lobby or left the hotel my phone worked fine, but wouldn't get a signal in the room. Not sure what the heck they put in the walls, but it was incredibly frustrating.
As a diamond we also got complimentary breakfast, but ended up eating out all but one morning of our stay as it wasn't very good. The breakfast area was sized for a hotel about 1/3 the size of this one, so was really cramped and always seemed to be missing most of the buffet items. Couldn't get a waffle not to stick to the machine no matter how much spray I used, and ended up with a pile of broken waffle as my breakfast as everything else was empty. There was only one person staffing the area and he was clearly overwhelmed, so none of the tables ever got wiped down and were pretty gross.
The location of the property is one of the few positives, as it is really easy to walk around downtown and also isn't very far off the freeway if you were headed out to explore the area. Made it easy to enjoy some beer or wine with dinner.
My review might not have been quite as bad if we hadn't been paying nearly $400 a night plus $15 per night for parking to stay here. It was the most expensive room during our 3 weeks in Oregon, and it was also by far our worst experience when it came down to it. Not to mention Hilton still isn't offering housekeeping, while every other place we stayed was. The service and quality of the room just wasn't close to $400 level. I was scared because we were staying in another Doubletree for our last two nights in Portland before flying home, but fortunately it was a much better experience. I would never stay here again, as the location doesn't make up for all the other shortfalls.

For a Hilton brand hotel, we were very disappointed. It started the first day of check in when the bathroom sink didn't drain. By the second day, the toilet paper was replaced with 1 ply, and no coffee or cups where replaced. By the third day, no towels, coffee, etc. At least the sink was fixed. High prices for Motel 6 service. Shameful.

The only positive about our stay was the comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and nice linens. Unfortunately, despite signs indicating our room has been extra thoroughly cleaned such as cleaning the countertops and toilet (which I had always thought was standard), The room was not even minimally cleaned. Brown gunk has accumulated along the back of the sink and base of the shower. Even the rug had apparently not been vacuumed. Chunks of dirt and debris are stuck to the bottom of my feet.
Due to covid fears, this hotel does not provide daily housekeeping. You have to make a reservation for a housekeeper 24 hours in advance and then you have to vacate your room for three hours prior to them entering the room. Additionally, I reserved a two queen bed room because there are two of us. However, there is one small bottle of lotion, one tiny dose of shampoo, and one day's worth of coffee. No spare roll of toilet paper, and two rolls that were approximately half way gone. The room had clearly been stocked for only one person. After the dinner hour, the halls are lined with overflowing trash cans that guests have shoved into the hallway since trash is not emptied.
The swimming pool closes at 5:30 because allegedly they don't have anyone to monitor the chemicals all night. That's what I was told, but not sure it is true.
And, I made a reservation and was charged for two nights. My room key was discontinued after one night and I was told that I had only one night's reservation. No apologies by the front desk clerk and no accommodations were offered to compensate for the inconvenience.
Really disappointing. I recommend tourists to Bend stay elsewhere.

Stayed as a last-minute stopover and was surprised that they were charging over $300/night to begin with only to find out that parking in the hotel parking lot was an extra $10/night (best effort, not guaranteed to find open spaces) and the continental breakfast (mediocre at best) was an extra $13/night.
The room was nothing special with an exceptionally small closet and a split bathroom (sink was in the main room while the toilet and shower were separate). The shower door opened directly into the toilet instead of the open space opposite it, not sure on the logic there.
Definitely will avoid in the future.

Checked in for a 2 day stay. First thing was that the room was not ready. waited, waited, waited finally had to take a different room because housekeeping was behind in getting the rooms ready (only 4 housekeepers). It seems the procedure here is to have one of the housekeepers only make beds. Then when we checked into the room it had a funny odor. Pulled back the blankets and found two large red spots on the sheets, found a hair ball on the floor, found the closet door was extremely hard to open and when opened would not close again,. The thermostat was broken and instead of fixing the so called maintenance department just put a sign on it. If we thought it would be any better to try and change rooms we would have but did not want to go through another long wait and end up with maybe a worse room. Decided to go downstairs to get breakfast and the handrail looked like it had not been painted in many years. There were more issues but you get the point. The GM should be replaced if they allow this type of housekeeping and maintenance to continue. DO NOT STAY HERE. Check out the attached pictures.

When I arrived I was told parking was $10 ok, paid for it and moved on. When I got to my room though my bank showed that I was charged $30 of course their little card kiosk was all blacked out so you couldn’t see the actual price. I only stayed one night, the AC/ heat didn’t work and we were stuck at an uncomfortable temp. When we left the next day I asked the lady at the front desk if there was anything I needed to do on my end, she told me no and I left. Only to get notified that I was charged ANOTHER $30 for unknown reason. And when we called they couldn’t give us a reason other than miscellaneous charges: mind you my kids even made their beds and cleaned up the room.
Beds were uncomfortable, they were in the middle of a renovation but my goodness the extra charges it’s not worth the stay just go somewhere else

I would call and ask directly. When I was there it was going to continue for a couple more weeks. I would ask specifically about the lobby, that is unavoidable, as well as the floor you are staying on. The room was fine, but the hallways were without ceilings! And there were holes cut into the walls. If you have dust/allergy sensitivities, you know this is not a good situation.
There are more places to choose from in the Bend area.
