Fishing our way around the Pacific Northwest, we called about 5:30pm for reservations, the gentleman was very kind and met the online rate quoted. We arrived late and he was still waiting, check-in was prompt easy and flawless and for no reason, he upgraded us to the spa room without additional charge. The rooms are VERY nicely renovated and designed, not your typical hotel fodder, actually pretty.
When I travel for work, I stay in rooms for several months at a time and I hope that at some point, I am deployed to this area so I can stay in these rooms!!

They have done a fabulous job renovating the entire property and making their guests feel right at home. Attention to detail is noticeable and appreciated.

We were too late for the food truck, but would definitely try it next time around.

I wish them all the success.

ps. they have REAL keys to the room, not the credit card type...LOVE IT:)

In a world of over priced hotels these days, this one is still a bit overpriced, but in comparison to many in the areas probably a bit less so. As others have said the friendliness at check in and the checking on you to see if your gone felt a bit odd. That being said it was a very convenient and clean old style hotel well appointed and kept up. The room and grounds seemed very clean and cared for. Most everything in the room was remodeled and on newer side and in good working order. Beds were reasonably comfortable and room and area was very quiet for sleeping. It's fun to look out window and see old style courtyard of the hotel and because we chose the bigger room it felt like a small one room apartment almost. the additional sink with a mirror also helps in getting ready in the morning while another is using the shower/bathroom which is always a bonus in getting everyone going in the morning. So overall yes i would choose again, it's very convenient for the Bend downtown Wall Street area as well as the Mill area and Hayden Home Amphitheatre.

The rooms are always clean with fresh linens the decor is pretty outdated but overall comfortable beds, quiet nights, however the front desk agent who checked me in over charged me and when I brought it to his attention he accused me of lying and never gave me my change. Otherwise nice motel kind staff but dishonest. I will stay here again the amount per night was very affordable also.

Pros: Room was clean and pool was clean.
Cons: Male staff was RUDE and even yelled at one of the families staying for a softball tournament. Took all towels on cleaning (which was not requested) and did not replace towels with fresh. Took all cans out of room and was very unpleasent to work with to get spare keys or an extra night. Don't mind the holes in the ceiling or the pry bar marks on the door, oh or the random person knocking on the door at 11:30 at night asking if our room was the open room he could stay in. Several families stayed here from our team and many were offered larger rooms on check in. We had to ask twice for an extra night and were placed in an "ADA" accessible room - which there is NO way a wheelchair could have accessed the bathroom. The room was much smaller than several of the other rooms and we were charged more. We did not ask for an accessible room. The team had fun being together and took advantage of the pool being centrally located, just make sure to get extra towels before you go to the pool as you won't get them easily once you are there. I will NOT be staying here again under this ownership.

The exterior appearance is very inviting in a motor court environment, nice pool, food truck and covered seating area. Office and room both clean. Man who checked us in was not engaged in welcoming guests. He merely collected the credit card and handed us a key. I expected a little friendly but not here. Room older and needed some updates, like a toilet paper holder that wasn't falling off the wall, TV service that wasn't fuzzy or basic antenna. In our opinion room rate exaggerated for this establishment. Did not include continental breakfast. Although the location was central for Bend, we did not feel welcomed and will stay elsewhere next time.

Pros:cheap, good water pressure.
Cons:300 watt bulbs in every fixture, even the one bedside reading lamp (with dimmer, though that only takes it down a hair). Those bright bulbs really reveal how dirty the room is, splatters on walls, fingerprints on door.
Pocket door to bathroom trapped in wall everytime we opened it and was a pain to try to set free.
No curtain on the window and broken blinds kept the room noonday bright all night long - those bulbs? Right outside the window as well.
Someone mentioned garden and pool- pool is in the middle of the parking lot, garden is some plants out by the road to lure the unsuspecting in.
Paid for two nights, couldn't face a second miserable night so left early.

We stayed for a 1 night stopover on a cross country road trip in this family run motel. We experienced many motels on the trip and this was one of the best - both in comfort and value. Nice touches, like real cups and glasses in the room, well maintained grounds and gardens, and a lovely pool made the stay very enjoyable. Easy walk to restaurants and the on-site Indian food truck with seating area is an added bonus.

First, the owner walked right into our room at one point without even knocking. Luckily we were dressed.
Next, we ran out of toilet paper (we were supplied with an almost-empty roll and no replacement. When we went to ask for more, there was no one in the office because they were all in their little food truck. We stood outside for quite sometime while they ignored us, before we gave up, went back to the room, and used tissues.
Then, we had an emergency come up and had to modify our booking and leave two days early. The owners were extremely rude when we asked to get a partial refund, and refused to give any refund at all, even though they had ample time to re-book the room for those two days. When I tried to follow up about it online, first I was told they would give a refund, then that they wouldn’t, then I was told I didn’t “deserve” a refund because I had already left a bad review. …Last I checked, that’s not the way refunds work.
Just extremely unprofessional behavior that I would not want to deal with again. I would avoid this place if you can help it. (I’ve included a screenshot of the message exchange)

Room was very clean. Desk staff was NOT helpful. I will not stay at this property ever again because of how I was treated and do not recommend. I was told that I needed to tip five or ten dollars to the man who took my one bag to my room. Was in Bend for surgery and was unable to use my right arm. I stated on my reservation that I would need some assistance. Just taking bag to and from room. Pay a little more and stay some place else.

To be honest, I wasn't really expecting much. My father and I had been traveling most of the day across Idaho and Oregon to get to the coast, and just needed a place to stay the night. We chose this place due to the other good reviews.

The room we were given is incredibly clean, and so worth the rate. In the age of COVID-19, a lot of hotel properties have emphasized cleanliness, and Cascade Lodge follows through all the way. We spoke to the owner at check-in (lovely person, by the way), and upon seeing the room, can see that she and her family take pride in what they do. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely come back.

We had our two small dogs with us and they were welcomed. I would suggest reservations to be sure you can get a pet room. (Our neighbors across the way had a border collie)
