When I travel for work, I stay in rooms for several months at a time and I hope that at some point, I am deployed to this area so I can stay in these rooms!!
They have done a fabulous job renovating the entire property and making their guests feel right at home. Attention to detail is noticeable and appreciated.
We were too late for the food truck, but would definitely try it next time around.
I wish them all the success.
ps. they have REAL keys to the room, not the credit card type...LOVE IT:)

Cons: Male staff was RUDE and even yelled at one of the families staying for a softball tournament. Took all towels on cleaning (which was not requested) and did not replace towels with fresh. Took all cans out of room and was very unpleasent to work with to get spare keys or an extra night. Don't mind the holes in the ceiling or the pry bar marks on the door, oh or the random person knocking on the door at 11:30 at night asking if our room was the open room he could stay in. Several families stayed here from our team and many were offered larger rooms on check in. We had to ask twice for an extra night and were placed in an "ADA" accessible room - which there is NO way a wheelchair could have accessed the bathroom. The room was much smaller than several of the other rooms and we were charged more. We did not ask for an accessible room. The team had fun being together and took advantage of the pool being centrally located, just make sure to get extra towels before you go to the pool as you won't get them easily once you are there. I will NOT be staying here again under this ownership.
Cons:300 watt bulbs in every fixture, even the one bedside reading lamp (with dimmer, though that only takes it down a hair). Those bright bulbs really reveal how dirty the room is, splatters on walls, fingerprints on door.
Pocket door to bathroom trapped in wall everytime we opened it and was a pain to try to set free.
No curtain on the window and broken blinds kept the room noonday bright all night long - those bulbs? Right outside the window as well.
Someone mentioned garden and pool- pool is in the middle of the parking lot, garden is some plants out by the road to lure the unsuspecting in.
Paid for two nights, couldn't face a second miserable night so left early.
Next, we ran out of toilet paper (we were supplied with an almost-empty roll and no replacement. When we went to ask for more, there was no one in the office because they were all in their little food truck. We stood outside for quite sometime while they ignored us, before we gave up, went back to the room, and used tissues.
Then, we had an emergency come up and had to modify our booking and leave two days early. The owners were extremely rude when we asked to get a partial refund, and refused to give any refund at all, even though they had ample time to re-book the room for those two days. When I tried to follow up about it online, first I was told they would give a refund, then that they wouldn’t, then I was told I didn’t “deserve” a refund because I had already left a bad review. …Last I checked, that’s not the way refunds work.
Just extremely unprofessional behavior that I would not want to deal with again. I would avoid this place if you can help it. (I’ve included a screenshot of the message exchange)
The room we were given is incredibly clean, and so worth the rate. In the age of COVID-19, a lot of hotel properties have emphasized cleanliness, and Cascade Lodge follows through all the way. We spoke to the owner at check-in (lovely person, by the way), and upon seeing the room, can see that she and her family take pride in what they do. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely come back.
