Motel chosen for our one night stay in Bend (a splendid, typically American town). Comfortable bed but some stains on the carpet, however for our quick stop it was fine, considering the value for money. Air conditioning in the room (which we did not use because it was already at the right temperature) and small fridge. Ample parking.

My husband and I spent the night on our way to the Oregon coast. We booked a king room.
The room was pretty bare bones. There wasn't an ice bucket in the room, nor an alarm clock. They did provide hand soap and shampoo, and coffee.
The bed was comfortable as well as the linens.
I noticed a lot of dirt on the heat vent in the bathroom. The front door was pretty dirty, around the door handle.
The young man who checked us in wasn't friendly at all. He offered no information on the wifi, or check out times.
The cleaning woman I encountered the next morning never did acknowledge me, although I nodded and smiled at her.
We have stayed at this property numerous times over the years, because of the value, and it's always been clean, and the front desk staff has been friendly.
We will be finding a different place next time we pass through.

Great Location. Great Price. Friendly front desk staff. Had only booked one night but decided to stay for a 2nd. They were very accommodating - made that happen without having to change rooms. Room was spacious and very clean.

Upon first glance this hotel from the outside looked acceptable. The first problem we had was when we went inside to check in and realized the staffs native language was not English. We couldn't understand them and they couldn't understand us. We finally got a room key and when we went inside it was like stepping back into the 1930s. Some reviewers called it quaint and charming, I called it outdated and in much need of a complete makeover. Let's start in the bathroom. There was more light coming through the small bathroom window than was produced by the ceiling light. Also I found out later that the window was inoperable. The toilet was low to the floor and the sink was a pedestal type not allowing for any toiletries to be placed anywhere. The shower stall was only 36 inches in
diameter and the original glass block surrounding the perimeter of the shower was in dire need of being regrouted. It looked like there was fairly new ceramic tile on the floor and half way up on the bathroom walls. Entering the bathroom wasn't easy as the doorway was extremely small. If you are over 5 foot 8 in tall the shower could pose a real problem. As for the bedroom area, there was a king size bed and the mattress was very comfortable. Pillows were another story s when you laid your head on them they would go flat. Bring your own pillow. It was warm so we had the air conditioner on which is a window type and very loud however it did drowned out the noise of the traffic going by that
never seemed to stop. The Holiday Motel is on East 3rd Street which is the Old Highway and has heavy traffic. We tried to watch TV but with the noisy air conditioner on, drowning out the traffic noise, you couldn't hear the TV unless you turned up the volume which we didn't want to do because we didn't want to disturb our neighbors through the very thin walls. There is a coffee pot in the room along with ceramic mugs and also glass tumblers. There was no tissue, just toilet paper and also no tablet or pen for writing anything down. When I opened the little bar soap package left in the bathroom it crumbled in my hand making me think it was either old or possibly had been dropped. With the air running full blast to drown out the noise, we actually slept well as the bed was comfortable. That's about the only good thing I can say about this place.

This was the dirtiest room that I have ever stayed in and we would have found some place else to stay if we hadn't arrived as late in the evening. To add something positive, the man at the front desk was friendly and told us where we could walk our dog. Otherwise, the room was awful. I don't know why people rated it so well. The carpet was dirty and we kept our shoes on the whole time to avoid stepping on it. The walls were dirty, dinged, flaking paint. The light fixture in the bathroom had never been cleaned. It was next to a busy, noisy road. We slept the minimal amount and got out of there as early as possible. Would not recommend and would not stay here again.

This is our 2nd time staying here. We really enjoyed it last time (about 5 years ago). This time not so much. They gave us 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for a 2 night stay.
The fire alarm in the hallway began leaking brown water and to repair it caused the fire alarm in our room to go off several times which was unpleasant to say the least. Finally they just removed the hallway alarm, so who knows if the alarms even function at the moment?
This morning another guest is moving in or moving out and they've been slamming doors constantly for the past 2.5 hours, starting around 7am.
Not a pleasant stay. Although we are returning guests this will definitely be our last time at this hotel.

This place was such a hidden gem! When we checked in, the owner told my friend and I it was a very nice room. We walked into the room and our jaws dropped to the floor!! It was such a great value for the price, newly remodeled and very clean. We enjoyed a 20 minute walk to a nearby cider bar (Avid) with outdoor, juniper wood- burning fire pit.

Cute older motel south of downtown Bend.
I’d stay here again; it was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Would have liked some bathroom amenities, though. There was no shampoo and only one tiny bar of soap to be shared between sink and shower.

This is a hidden gem. The gentleman at the front was excellent. The check in was fast and easy. I was traveling alone so I booked the single room. The room has been recently updated. Vessel sink in the bathroom, new shower.
The bed was more comfortable than most. Nice linens.
This was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. I will stay again.

Our room was terribly small but the bathroom was relatively clean. Decent place, should not expect more for the price we paid. Our biggest complaint was the extremely loud window AC unit. We were there during a heat wave and could not not have it on but the noise kept us awake all night. Not sure I would stay there again.
