This place is disgusting. It was dirty and there was a huge hole in the floor of my room. The large window at the back of the room was broken and did not lock. When I arrived at 4 PM they didn't have my room ready even though the receipt said it would be ready at 3 PM. They said to come back in 40 minutes, I waited 1 hour but they still were not ready. All 4 times I went into the Office there were different people working in there and no one ever wore a mask. The woman who cleaned my room and stood outside of it smoking with the door open, did not wear a mask when she went inside of my room. In summary, this place is terrible and not worth it. There are other similarly priced options in town I have stayed at that were much better than this dump.
Last minute booking on holiday weekend. Was fairly inexpensive. Room was basic, but clean. Definitely older hotel, but we were pleased. In the 2nd row of rooms, we could see the ocean from outside. Bed was firm. No A/C, but housekeeping brought us a fan without asking. On hwy 101, but was quiet inside room.
Affordable place to stay in a nice location. It’s right in between Harris beach and the harbor. You’re also not that far from mill beach . It is pet friendly, they have a nice strip of grass with bags for your dog to go potty. It was like 85 bucks a night I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel so overall my needs were met. The room wasn’t sparkly clean, there was some dust build up around the trim and the hardwood floor felt a little dirty . Overall cheap quiet place to stay
When we first got there, when I walked in to check in, after waiting 5 minutes with no help from anyone besides a child who said she would find help, a lady came out and rudely interrupted me before I even said anything saying "No rooms, goodbye.". I tried to repeat myself saying had a reservation and she interrupted me again saying "no rooms, goodbye." and shooed me off. When I finally was able to say "i have a reservation" she said no early check ins, come back at 3 and walked away even though it said out check in was at 1. We left and returned at 3, I came back, waited for a while than a man came out and helped check us in. He was nicer, but still did not care, look at me, or speak to me besides when he needed me to pay. We get to the room, and despite the signs every where that said No Smoking, the smell of cigarettes in the room was so strong it made me and my boyfriend sick, every time we left and came back the smell was some how stronger and renewed. There was exposed wires out of the wall. The TV only had one button that worked, but we figured it out. The internet codes we got did not work. After I showered, my boyfriend went to go in and some sort of dirt and gunk spit up from the drain and covered the floor. Through the night we could hear the person in the room beside us snoring the whole night. The next morning, all the power went out in our room, but we knew it was just time to go. I go into the office to check out, after waiting for quite awhile AGAIN, a lady finally pops her head out and rudely says "What." as if I was bothering her. I told her I was checking out to which she says "Just leave your key and go." than went back into the back room. Overall, we spent as much time away from the hotel as we could, we felt unwelcome, the staff was rude and uncaring, the room smelt horrible and there was many things wrong with it. DO NOT STAY HERE ! Just pay the extra money to go somewhere else nicer than this with an actually friendly and caring staff.…
Reception person was distracted and disinterested to the point of rudeness. Carpet in room was so DISGUSTING. Bathroom cleanish but needed so much repair. Such a disappointment because Brooking itself is quite lovely.
