My husband and I were given a trip to stay here for 2 nights. After being on the road for 11 hours we got in about 9pm and were looking forward to a nice relaxing evening and a good night sleep. We are in cottage #4 and it hasn't even been 2 hours. My first impression was the smell! Then...

On check in our place had been untouched by maid service since last renter. They said housekeeper had the flu...I let it slide. Things happen right? But the ant infestation was more than we could take. Our 4 night stay changed to 3 nights with very little sleep that third night. I called to tell them of the problem and...

We stayedtas #4 & #5 over Christmas, and were disappointed. We have stayed here before and had a pretty good time, but lots went wrong during our recent stay. There is no mention of an ant issue anywhere when booking, but it is enough of a problem that they have laminated information sheets and ant kill spray in each cabin....

My husband and I stayed in a Hidden Villa Cottage the 2nd weekend in November with our Weimaraner. The location is perfect; 3 minute walk to the beach and centrally located between the two main 'areas' (shopping, restaurants) of Cannon Beach. Our cottage was perfect for the three of us. The cottage was clean and heated up fast (it was...

This was our sixth time staying at the cottages, and we still love coming here. We had the Sunflower cottage this year. I have to agree with other reviewers--the grounds need some help. I'm assuming the mounds of dirt were from moles. Flowerbeds/grass need weeding. Maybe some new lawn furniture? Our cottage had a daybed instead of a couch. Very...

My husband and I stayed in the Nautical cottage for a week. The cottage was clean and we did not have an ant problem (thank goodness). The grounds, on arrival, were very neglected, but during our stay the new groundskeeper was quite busy mowing the grass, killing the weeds, cleaning out the pond, etc. So, progress is being made and...

Your enjoyment of the cottage will relate inversely with the price of the stay, do not stay here if you are paying the same price that you would be paying at one of the bigger inns or hotels in Cannon Beach. We had a rate of $75 a night (2 week stay, shoulder season), which means that we could overlook...

Husband, springers, and I spent labor Day weekend at Hidden Villa. We'd stayed there twice before Linda moved out, and it's a different place now that the place is handled by a management company somewhere out of town, which were very challenging to contact after we forgot the key combination left in an e-mail sent way back when the reservation...

On the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews, and being willing to cut the place some slack because the former innkeeper that everyone loved was no longer there, I stayed one night while traveling down the coast. Please note: I love old historic properties, and seek out places that keep their character and have a patina of age and use. I...

The Hidden Villa Cottages are tucked in a quiet side-street and are two blocks from the beach. They each have a full kitchen, bedroom, living room, and small bathroom. The bed is comfortable, and it's a great space to have a pet as each is very sound proof. I've always enjoyed staying at them when Linda and her daughter were the...
