Detailed Reviews
This was our first experience staying in a cabin, normally we're camper campers. The Odell Cabin was well appointed and extremely clean. It was just the right size for our family of 4 + doggo. It was rustic, no doubt. Wood paneling on the walls, lamp light in every room...no AC. That's actually my only criticism; there wasn't even a fan in the cabin.
Don't be afraid to ask at the restaurant for info, the folks are very patient and friendly! While we had our own boat and kayaks, i did also notice the rental rates on such items were very reasonable compared to other places we've been.

The staff was friendly, but the cabin was dirty. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned well. There were 2 clumps of hair in the shower, so it obviously hadn't been touched. The bed was broken down, every time you rolled over you could hear and feel it. The boat rental was a blast, the food was mediocre. We probably won't ever go back.

We stayed in the Cultus cabin. I'll start with the positives first. The Lake is beautiful and super clean. It's calm no wind. They have paddle boards, kayaks and fishing boats you can rent. Has a small beach area by the marina where you can do a little swimming. They also have a volleyball court, table tennis an corn hole for games. The cabins are fairly close together and they are very near the lodge/restaurant. The best thing I liked abut this resort is the large deck to the restaurant/bar. Sat night they had a DJ instead of a band and I am glad they did because we had so much fun listening to all kinds of music and everyone was dancing. It was like a big party and everyone was having so much fun. That was the best part!! All the employees and staff are very friendly and they were all happy. Probably the best staff I have see at a resort. Food and drinks were fine. Now lets talk about the cabin. We rented the Cultus cabin. The pictures on the website make it look really nice. I walked in and felt like it's way more rustic and run down than the pictures. In one of the pix you see 2 couches in the living room but there is only one. (so only one person can sleep in the living room on 1 couch) The bedrooms have no doors and the bathroom is very tiny as well as the shower. Comes with a full size fridge, electric range, sink with some dishes, flatwear and pots and pans. Says free satellite tv but the satellite wasn't working so no tv :( Theres a fire pit in front of the cabin but we didn't use that. Don't expect to sit outside to hang out of the cabin it's not really like that. We mostly hung out at the big deck at the restaurant where you can get your free wifi. I would definitely stay again but maybe in a different cabin ... kinda expensive for what you get but we liked the fact that we can rent out bigger boats at Odell lake down the road and enjoy kayaking/paddling on Crescent Lake. The DJ was the most fun though. I think they should have a DJ on Sat nights all the time. Everyone loves to dance to that kind of music. If the cabins were updated and not so close to one another I would have given this resort a 5 star!

This place suffers from plenty of deferred maintenance, but beyond that, no one cares. Missing light bulbs, one outlet per cabin with a dangerously overloaded surge protector, an outdated coffee pot without an automatic turn off switch, an ancient oven with no pans that could be used in a oven, frying pans with peeling Teflon, furniture from the 60s, thin curtains that are transparent to the outside at night, sloping floors, eroded stairs, peeling paint everywhere, it is dismal. Plus the lake (a reservoir) is so low that the water is way away from the “resort”.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in the Three Creeks Cabin at Crescent Lake Resort.
I have lots of complaints so I will start with those:
The cabin was so rundown and barely resembled the photos on the website. The website showed clean looking well lit rooms, log framed beds, light colored clean looking carpet, chair & couch. What we got was a very dark cabin with one lamp in each room, grungy stained carpet that stained our socks, 1 stained dirty couch & no chair. Zero log framed beds, just very squeeky head/footboardless beds. The corners in the bathroom look like they had never been cleaned, a broken toilet seat. Out of all the windows in the cabin only 1 had a screen and it was barely hanging on. The deck felt like you could fall through in certain places. The kitchen faucet sprayed water and leaked, looked like it had been that way for some time because the back splash looked disgusting. The utensils were sparse, no large knife. The handle of a pan came off the pan while cooking, spilling hot oil! The 4 burners on the stove could not all be used at 1 time, if you turned 1 on, another wouldnt work. The oven also didnt seem to get up to temperature. The outside lights on the cabin came on automatically at dusk..........flood lights....bright....very bright! Ours was the only cabin that had them and we asked for a guy to come turn them off, he had no idea how to. We were only given 1 towel & wash cloth per person for 4 nights, and 1 kitchen towel & wash cloth. When we went to house keeping one of the times they acted like we were asking for a million dollars when we asked for more towels and garbage bags. The next time we went to ask for something, the girl acted great and it was no big deal. There were no signs or any kind of instructions for house keeping other than a sign posted in the kitchen stating if you leave dirty dishes in the sink you get fined $10. The parking was a joke, we had to back all the way a long steep loose driveway & use 4 wheel drive. We felt the restaurant should stay open later than 6 pm on a week night. Apparently one of the outlets had caught fire at one time so there was a large charred hole in the wall with nothing covering it, could be dangerous for a child. One of the door jams was coming apart when you open the door from inside the room.
The few good things.........the towels seemed very clean, the lake was amazing, we liked the keyless entry to the cabin, no fumbling with keys.
We definitely paid way too much for this unkept Cabin! I do not recommend this place unless everything gets fixed.

The cabins are getting very run down and in need of repairs. Outlet in bathroom didn't have screws holding into wall. Sink drips, toilet runs, toilet seat is broken, etc. Price is high for the lodging but you are really paying for location. I wasn't expecting fancy spa type amenities but we didn't even get a bar of soap. Really?? Staff is unreliable. Waiting 20 minutes for the store to open one day.

Primitive cabin homes that were apparently built when there was no running water or electricity because all the electricaL and plumbing are exposed. Tiny rv type showers put in as an afterthought. Wall heaters need to be running at all times because the cabin lacks insulation. No ceiling lights make for a dim winter stay. One of the bedrooms didnt even have a lamp so I guess you need to pack flashlights??! Nice friendly staff. Pet hair everywhere! On sheets and pillows. That part was nasty!

+1
This was our second time staying at Hoodoo's Crescent Lake Resort and we decided as a family that we would come back every year from now on.
It is only a 3 hour drive from Portland .
The atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect getaway for our family of 5 plus 1 dog. We stayed at the Crescent Resort that had an upstairs loft where our 3 kids slept.
The view was perfect and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Cheyenne was one of the staff during our stay and she was so nice and friendly and my kids loved hanging out with her.
See you next year!

The lake and surrounding area is beautiful. We enjoyed long walks and nice sunsets when we stayed there in April 2015. However, we had a few things wrong with our cabin. The biggest issue for us was that one of the bedrooms had no power at all. No lights, and no electrical outlets. This was a huge inconvenience for us because the elderly couple that was staying in that room needed to see at night and needed the outlets for their CPAP machines. This meant that they had to switch rooms with the young couple with small children that were staying in the room with 2 beds. This put a family of 4 into one bed, with no lights. Not too comfortable to say the least. The office was aware of this electrical issue before hand yet failed to mention it to us at check in. They also said we were not allowed to use an extension cord, because it would drain to much power. Understandable due to the age of the cabin, but why not let us know prior to check in, instead of letting us find out on our own, at night, in the dark? I am pretty reasonable and realized this may have been an oversight. I sent them an email after our trip and they NEVER replied. Not a word. All I expected was something along the lines of "sorry for the inconvenience, we hope to have the issue resolved so no one else has the same troubles, we hope you and your family can come back again sometime." But I got nothing. I sent multiple emails and they all went unanswered. I had sent emails prior to our stay and they were all returned. When I emailed to see if our cabin would have access to Wi-Fi, they replied and assured me it that it would. I brought my work with me and wasn't able to do it, the Wi-Fi did NOT reach our cabin. Not a huge deal, I can live without. It was just interesting to see that they did reply to me before our stay (albeit with misinformation) but have not responded to me after our stay. It's a shame that we were dealt with poorly. I would have LOVED to return to this location.

Sat for over an hour waiting for food. The bartender/waitress only was interested in those with money. Her 5 kids she brought to work with her were all over the place and rude, touching others food orders in the kitchen etc... Kids of the staff were running barefoot through the dining area wet ...also the employees have dogs running loose not on a leash bothering everyone at the water, but there are signs everywhere stating no pets. When asked to see a cabin I was definitely not staying, dirty and smelled terrible. There was trash all over the grounds etc... I felt as though it was more suited for a frat party than a great vacation for family. This place needs some serious upgrades starting with management all the way to employees. Crescent lake is a large lake with many great spots. Just stay away from the lodge and your trip should be fine.
