Having just completed our annual visit to the Surfrider (6 or 7 years in a row) we leave vowed never to return. Since Clarion took over ownership of the hotel we have seen a continued decline in the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathroom. The jet tub was old, in a state of disrepair and dirty. It appears as...

I got in late at night and couldn't see around the place, but I was amazed and impressed by the size of the room. There is a picture window that looks out on the balcony and the Pacific Ocean. At night all I could see was the fog. The next morning was incredibly clear and I could even see humpback...

First off we had been driving along the coast and we checed out lodging at very many places that would satisfy our needs (Great views, kitchen and beach access) and we finally found it here. Chuck was very helpfull getting us checked in and I really loved him for setting us up in the beach house. We were a walk...

We got caught late at night without a room and fog rolling in. This was the only place we could find a room. Failed our Lysol wipe down but had no choice but to stay. Room was like a small apartment with a kitchen and separate bedroom. Ask for a non smoking and pet free room, well there was no...

We had our confirmation showing the room we had reserved, but somehow the reservation was entered incorrectly to the hotel's database. This caused the desk clerk to have a meltdown and become rude and disrespectful to us. Needless to say, our stay was not off to a good start. Once the hotel manager straightened things out, we headed off to...

Of course the location is awesome - right near the water. The room was adequate but could use some repair. I reported broken door moulding and lock on door to the deck. Staff is very nice and responsive. Overall a decent value.

Although this motel is now the Clarion Inn, it still offers very good value for the cost of a room. All rooms have an ocean view, and the beds are reasonably comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, offering one of the best clam chowders on the coast! The pool is away from the main building-an advantage in terms of not causing...

Room was fine and view was great. Room baloney was odd. The door opens right into your neighbors door and you share the entry.. Stairs to beach need to be redone. Nice location between Newport and Lincoln City. Restaurant was very nice and food was good.
