Detailed Reviews
We reserved two sites the for seven days, wanting a relaxing time. We are two couples, with 40ft. RV's. At check-in, we confirmed our days staying and paid the amount requested from the park manager. The park amenities listed that most sites have WiFi, they do not, it also states that most sites have cable TV, they do not. We were instructed to not put anything on the grass, which is mostly dandelions. Once set up we received permission to put our chairs on the lawn but had to make sure we put them away at night. On the 7th day we were asked if we were leaving and we replied the next morning. We were then told we had not paid the correct amount to stay another night. There was an error in the days charged but we were treated as if we made the error. We will not stay at this park again.

Stayed overnight on our way home from Seattle. We arrived after the office closed and couldnt find any check in paperwork. There was an information phone which I called. Within a few minutes a very nice resort employee walked over and checked us in. Site was level/gravel and was everything I asked for....away from anybody with pets and away from any groups. Nice view of the water. Didn't use any of the facilities. There appeared to be several people living there.

The manager of this place is one of the most unpleasant people that we have encountered in over 2 years of full-time RVing. We arrived around 12:30pm and the office was closed. I called and the manager (Karen) sternly explained that check-in isn't until 1:00pm. I had called the day prior to request an early check-in as the weather forecast called for high temperatures. An employee named Sherry said this would be fine as our assigned site was unoccupied. Oh well, no big deal. So I patiently wait outside on the deck and sure enough about 30 minutes later, an older woman comes driving up in her golf cart. She walks up the stairs onto the deck, proceeds to unlock the office door and then goes inside without even looking at me. I'm standing about 5 feet away and there is no hello or any acknowledgement of my immediate physical presence whatsoever. Zero friendliness, zero customer service skills and absolutely no kindness coupled with a terrible attitude. YIKES! I am forced to conclude that this individual hates her life. The campground itself has an unkempt appearance with lots of long term residents. We stayed in pull-through full hookup site #44. The sites are very close together so you will get to know your neighbors whether you want to or not. And there is no tree shade. Sprinklers run every night so the sites get muddy. My AT&T phone had 2 strong bars and the hotspot worked great. My wife's Verizon phone had 3 bars. The bathrooms are awful but laundry area was pretty good. On a much more positive note, the campground is located right across the highway from scenic Dexter Lake. The lake is gorgeous and definitely worth checking out. Great hiking can be found at nearby Dexter State Recreation Area and Elijah Bristow State Park. We enjoyed both of them but the latter has a lot more shaded paths. Also don't miss the Lowell covered bridge just down the road. Excellent historical signs and displays help to explain its significance to the local area.

We love being st DSRVP. Clean and quiet. Nice view of lake and mountains. Managers are fabulous - so helpful and caring from the start when we were searching for a short-term stay near family in Eugene. Laundry and bathrooms clean. WiFi works well. Grounds kept up nicely.

Nice quiet RV park, with partial views of Dexter Lake. Clean laundry and restrooms. Plenty of room to walk your dogs. You cannot tent camp w/a dog, but you can walk your dogs in the large tent camping area.

This place is a dump. The office left our checkin stuff outside the office. Pictures are all false advertising and at least 10 years old. It’s run down and all long term residents. Two cop cars pulled up just as we were exploring the property. We stayed in a pull through and even with full hook up the trailer next to us ran their noisy generator at odd times.

We stayed a week. Found out that although the park advertises free wifi, it is so poor as to be unusable. If you have T-Mobile phone service, it will not work at this park at all. Since I'm dependent on both for work, our stay was frustrating. We did have a nice view from our spot, but the park is not on the beach as some of its photos show. The state park by Dexter Dam and Reservoir is big with some trails through to waterside. It does attract homeless people. Otherwise, there is not much to do in Dexter itself. Great fishing spot, if you like fishing.

Good afternoon Jenni; Hoodoo Recreations and Dexter Shores RV Park want to sincerely apologize to you for the wobbly WI-FI. If you would notice on our website that the information for the park does state that the WI-FI is available in some sites. We ARE working at improving and repairing the problem. I can't explain about T-Mobile. I hope that if you are in the are that you will choose to stay with us again. Thank you for your review. Sincerely; Andy Manager Dexter Shores RV Park
