i recently found myself needing accommodation in eugene on the spur of the moment and was very fortunate to find a river walk inn. i called late in the evening and they graciously welcomed me into a lovely room (the orchid). the decor of the inn is a pleasant balance of old and new with serene colors and simple, elegant... Spent 1 night here in early August. Very close to the Willamette river (walking distance). The building itself is beautiful, and my hosts were lovely people. The rooms don't have TVs or phones, but to my mind that adds to the charm. They recommended a great place for dinner, Izakaya Meiji Company, which was fantastic and within walking distance. Breakfast... More

By a large margin, I cannot think of a better place to stay in Eugene. River Walk Inn's proprietors, Donna and Richard Cribbs, are a charming, generous and welcoming couple that are fonts of knowledge about local spots to eat, drink or see. Donna is a wonderful cook & her breakfasts are memorable. The Victorian-style house has three well-maintained rooms... More

My wife and I spent 8 days at Richard and Donna's B&B during the Olympic Trials. Everything was excellent. From the morning conversation over brilliant breakfasts, the fine bikes to use on the river trails, the recommendations to attractions and dining, the welcoming effort they gave all the track aficionados made for a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the River Walk Inn on our trip to Eugene in October 2011, after traveling for a month. Our hosts responded above and beyond to our weary-traveler predicaments. When my husband realized he had run out of his prescription medicine, our hosts quickly contacted a physician for us, saving precious time on our busy visit to Eugene. When... More

Donna and Richard were very pleasant hosts. They made us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived and the feeling stayed throughout our stay. Their home is beautiful and very tastefully decorated - to include the teapot collection and other antiques located throughout. Donna's breakfast recipes are very tasty and every morning she cooked something different - pulled... More

We stayed at the River Walk Inn while we were in Eugene for a concert at the Cuthbert. We were able to take the bike path right to the concert, making it so much easier than dealing with driving and parking. Donna, the inn keeper and owner, was great! She gave us directions to the places we wanted to get... More

My husband and I stayed at the River Walk Inn during our visit to Eugene for a friend’s wedding. We selected the River Walk Inn because the inn looked charming, clean, friendly, and personal with the innkeeper’s teapot collection being shown throughout the house. The River Walk Inn is indeed all of these things! We are so glad that we... More

We spent one night in Eugene and at fist we thought the neighborhood coming in was a bit run down but when we got to the inn it was real nice. Richard was a very good host and cooked up a great breakfast. After settling in we were very comfortable and would go back there.

“i loved the orchid room - spacious, light-filled, wood floors and such a cozy bed! nice size bath, too, but note that the tub/shower is a claw-foot style (cool vintage vibe, but not my favorite, as they aren't really ideal for luxurious showers).”
