Downtown location is very convenient for walking to shops. Hotel has lots of character, but the train noise was a bit too much. Was woken up 2 or 3 times each night of the stay due to the noise from passing trains. The showers were...More
We've spent quite a few nights at the hotel and never have been disappointed. As others have noted, it is a hotel first constructed in the 1800's and renovated over the years. The rooms may seem a bit small, but their size never has been...More
nice old hotel with a good restaurant, easy walking distance to restaurants & bars downtown, parking and breakfast is not included but was a minor inconeniience Staff was very helpful and knowledgble about local points of interest
This is an awesome, old fashioned hotel. We upgraded to a family suite which accommodated our party of four but could easily have slept two more--had a kitchen and dining area and 2 bathrooms!! Beds and rooms were comfortable. Front desk service was awesome--including the...More

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
