I've just arrived home from a one night stay at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. It was so perfect it is as if we were away from home, schedules and general chaos for much longer than one night. Our bed was heavenly, every staff member we encountered was beyond kind and friendly and the area was incredible. This is a magical...

One of our Christmas presents, from our children, was a stay at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. We have very busy schedules, but managed to pull off a stay during a rainy period in March. The rain created a large number of waterfalls between Portland and the hotel. The falls were all running wild and beautiful...maybe 15 large ones seen from...

This historical hotel is a must stop/stay! The grounds setting are serene and comforting. A place to reflect as the crazy world is nowhere in site. The staff, rooms and food are top notch. Convenient to Hood River and the freeway.

Great staff, very friendly, always right on top of any request you have. Take the tour of Oscar, Rick does a great job of telling all the stories and has great "no way" pictures! The friendly ducks are fun to watch also. They photo bombed our pictures.

The historic charm of this hotel is what initially won me over. However, it can't survive on that alone. The hotel is a bit shabby, but we were willing to overlook most of the forgotten details - old, broken room furniture, poor lighting in room, loud noise from the street, stained sheets - since it has such a history. What...

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for a very long time, so I had rather high expectations. I booked a queen river view room for our 19th anniversary and have to say that the whole experience at the hotel was fantastic. Rick Vaughn was at the front desk when we checked in and was very friendly and welcoming....

What a fantastic place for a weekend getaway! My wife and I flew in from Oakland and this was our second stop...after we hiked the Multnomah/Wahkeena Falls Loop. With all the rain this year, the falls were truly amazing. The trail was a bit tricky with all the snow at the higher elevations. The Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa is...

I was given a gift card for the Columbia Gorge Hotel for my retirement. When we checked in, the receptionist said the balance on the card was zero. I knew my office had taken up a $300 collection for this so this was a significant dollar amount. The receptionist took it to the manager who graciously agreed to honor it!...

It was a lovely stay! The staff of hotel and restaurant were most attentive and courteous and made our stay a pleasure! We also enjoyed the town and surroundings--only wished for some sun! The wineries were good and interesting and we wished we had been able to have a view of MT.Hood, but maybe next time.
