I have stayed here several times, and enjoy it every time. Stayed in the Peter Britt room, one of the old orgianal rooms, with a spa tub, and canopy bed in it now. I have also stayed in the Presidential suite, one used by George Bush when he was president, and also the honeymoon suite...both are outstandiing very large studio...

Whenever we travel Interstate 5, we try to stop at Jacksonville and visit the Inn. For many years, the cuisine has been excellent with an inventive menu, and many local wines (ask your server); even patio dining. The hotel is an 1850 time warp; there are boutique cottages; pricey but probably worth it. The Inn has a superb wine store...

Loved the Sunday brunch and generous champagne and sparkling cider. Meal was excellent and the service was superior. Perfectly poached eggs to boot. Haven't been taken care of so well in a small town in years. Lovely all around!

We stayed in room 1 the Peter Britt room. The pictures posted of this room on their web sight are true to what the room looks like. It's an old room with a corner spa tub and a canopy bed. Our stay was pleasant and the staff was professional and courtesous. The bartender in the bistro was great and very...

It is gratifying to have guests indicate that their stay was pleasant and that our staff is professional and courteous. We consistently get great reviews from our guests regarding our employees. The Bartender from Belarus, Maryiana, is very special, and our guests are very fond of her. The Jacksonville Inn was built in 1861, and the observation that the hotel...

We love coming back to the Jacksonville Inn as often as we can! The ambiance is excellent, the wine shop connected to the Inn is one of the best on the West Coast, the service is superb, the rooms, decorated in period style comforatble and cozy, french press coffee and delicious pastries awaiting you in the hall early in the...

Stayed one night in Jacksonville Inn. It was our ninth wedding anniversary. This is the beautiful old hotel that President Bush stayed at many years back. It is a beautiful historical building with lots of charm. The atmosphere is classy and very clean. Our room was gorgeous. I am very picky about cleanliness, and found every detail taken care of....

We stumbled upon the quaint little town of Jacksonville on our way home to Seattle from a road trip to CA. It definitely felt like we were stepping into another era! The Jacksonville Inn is a romantic little getaway and we loved every bit of the decor and Old West charm that bestows this place! Beautiful antique furniture and very...

My wife and I stayed in this historic hotel while site seeing in the area. Rooms are small and cozy. Our room faced the Main Street but that is not a problem since the town shuts down pretty early. In the morning there was biscotti in the common area along with coffee and tea. We had the champagne brunch in...

We chose this inn because it is part of Unique Inns and although we have traveled through Southern Oregon many times, we had never been to Jacksonville. We reserved the corner room at the Inn. It is nicely furnished with antiques, but includes flat screen TV and updated bath fixtures. I might have rated the room 'excellent' except the bed is...

Constructive comments from our guests are always encouraged and appreciated. Comment cards are available in each room; and I, as owner/manager, personally review every card that guests choose to leave. In fact, the two different occupants of the room that the Kitters’ stayed in that week left very complimentary comments. They both said they would return and would encourage others...

The Jacksonville Inn is in Jacksonville, Oregon, which is a western town in between Ashland and Medford. The main street is three of four blocks long, and this inn and restaurant are sheer perfection. You are taken back to another time, but it's not some pseudo-cowboy ambiance. Very cute rooms, and three incredible dining areas (bar, garden and formal dining).

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville's early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.Located in the heart of this national landmark town, The Inn is an elegant historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the "Most Romantic" lodging in Oregon. As one of Oregon's most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune's "Readers' Choice Award" for five consecutive years as "Best Restaurant." The Wine and Gift Shop has over 2,000 wines and received Wine Spectator magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," one of 600 in the world. ... more   less
