On our recent motorcycle trip(8 guys) we landed late afternoon in John Day, Best Western did not have enough rooms to accommodate us, so we stopped at the Dreamers Lodge in the middle of town. Clean, old, in need of major upgrade, but it worked just fine for eight old bikers KMA

This is an older facility, but still very functional and clean. The manager at the front desk was also quite friendly to us, and to others. I could see in the morning that he enjoyed chatting with some guests on motorcycles as they got ready to leave. The only problem I can think of is not a complaint but a...

The Hotel had very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Nice flat screen tv in the room along with over sized recliners and a large bed/large room. Only downfall is its a little outdated and the air conditioning took a while to cool down the room.

This place smells good. It does not have any of the "old motel:" odor. The towels are buttery soft. the Cube fridge has a freezer compartment for recharging my ice pack. The tub is long, deep, and I appreciated the sturdy grab bars when I got out. The carpet was fresh and clean. I loved having baseboard heaters instead of...

The people were nice on phone and in person. Quick check in. Nothing fancy but fully functional. That keeps costs down. More than enough amenities in the quiet room. Real chairs, fridge, tv., micro, iron, etc. Walking distance to restaurants. Was told to just leave key in room, no need to go to office in am.

This hotel looks like it is overdue for a remodel, but we found it to be clean and comfortable. Our king bed was also quite comfortable. The wi-fi worked well, and we were not bothered by noise from adjacent rooms (though we think one of them was occupied). The receptionist was friendly and helpful.

I'm pretty sure this place used to be an apartment building, which makes it a good choice for larger families. The rate was good for the 2 room/3 bed room with kitchenette we rented for a night. Things were relatively clean if a little dated. The queen bed I slept in was so-so. Our main issue was with the fact...

We stayed in John Day for one night recently and found this hotel clean, simple and straightforward. It was a stressful time in John Day, towards the tail end of the big forest fire south of town. The owner was helpful and we appreciated the accommodations, which are one block off the main street going through town, where we found...

Dreamers Lodge is clean, comfortable and less expensive than the local options. It has air conditioning for the summer months, and the owner is a fabulous gentleman. Try asking him about his old Royal Enfield motorcycle. Close to everything in town, I'd stay here again.
