Rental was the BOEVES cabin. This 2-story, 3 bdrm cabin was in the worst condition of any place I've seen. The stairs to the 2 upper bdrms were steep, narrow, open and semi-blocked by a trap door that hung from a weight at about a 45 degree angle. This trap door must be closed once upstairs to avoid falling through... More

We have stayed @White Fir Cottage numerous times in last 10 yrs. and never had any Issues. Well the "Wallowa Lake Resort" has changed Mgmt. and we had No Idea what we were in for!! Rate was @$140/a nite and part of that Rate is for Cleaning. That property was NOT Clean! Their were hairs on Toilet Seats, Urine on... More

Thank you for you comments in regard to your stay. As you noted, we acquired Wallowa Lake Resort during 2015 combining it with Flying Arrow Resort. This growth was has been challenging. However, 2016 will be greatly improved as a result of implementing a new reservation system, recruiting additional staff and completing a remodel of our office and laundry room.... More

I picked Wallowa Lake Resort for the sole reason of trying to get away from Flying Arrow Resort, only to find out that they had been bought out by the same people. I have been coming to Wallowa lake for 30 years, and almost exclusively (except for state park camping) stayed in rental cabins. Many of them were owned by... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide comments through Trip Advisor. We agree that you need to choose wisely. In all cases you get what you pay for. There will be a big difference between a cabin that is for $125/night and one that is $180/night. We have cabins for all budgets. It is important to read all of... More

Wallowa Lake is nestled to the south of the Wallowa Mountains which are known to the locals as the miniature Alps. The lake itself is magnificent and the drive to the Wallowa Lake Resort takes you around the lake to its headwaters which come right out of the Wallowa Mountains. The lake is filled with several species of trout and... More

We had a family get together and stayed in the Wallowa River House. The house is spacious and over looks the Wallowa River. It has 2 fireplaces, a huge master bedroom, a jacuzzi tub upstairs, lots of windows, a split level deck with stairs that lead to the river bank. They have everything you need to have a great getaway.... More

Upon arriving at the "patio suite" which was a cabin space that is basically a larger house/cabin broken into rental units the space was very disappointing. Outdated cabins are to be expected, but upon entering the space was musty, had wallpaper borders from the 70s or 80s that completely clashed with those on others, a very small space with old... Thank you for taking the time to provide comments through Trip Advisor. We have rented the patio suite to a variety of guests for 5 years and have never had the complaint of a urine smell. From your comments it may have been a result of a maintenance issue with the units plumbing. Lysol spray was not the correct approach... More

I stayed two nights in this beautiful old lodge and highly recommend it. It is very clean and the bed was firm and I slept very well. The restaurant I found to be exceptional and had my breakfast there and dinner both days. Setting on the side of the lake you can walk and enjoy the most beautiful nature along... More

I can't really comment on the quality of the cabins because no one was willing to even help me with finding a couple. Thank you for taking the time to provide comments through trip advisor. During 2015 we have had a difficult time in recruiting a front desk person. As a result our phones were not manned as well as we would have liked. We have greatly improved this for 2016 by implementing a new reservation system and recruiting additional front desk staff.... My wife and I spent a week in Aneroid Lake cabin with our old Black Lab and little Dachshund. It was a glorious time for all of us. There are 8 or 10 cabins of various sizes set in kind of a horseshoe under the trees. The resort accepts dogs in a few of the cabins only. Plan to reserve... More
