We stayed here for two nights (July 24th & July 25th, leaving the 26th, 2022), and overall it was a fairly good stay. We had a room with a jet tub and a fairly good view on the 3rd floor, but our jet tub didn't have any hot water. We called the front office, and they offered either a partial refund or to move to a different room. We chose to move to a different room, which ended up being on the 2nd floor. The jet tub in that room had warm water. It was a little harder to see the ocean from the balcony, but we still could. Also, the bed in the 2nd-floor room was noticeably more comfortable (the bed in the original room was a bit stiff, but the bed in the second room seemed to have a bit more padding and was more comfortable).

There was also a fan in the room, which was nice, to help keep cool (although the weather was cool while we were there, it can be nice to have a small breeze to help be comfortable). Other amenities included a small refrigerator, microwave oven, some dishes & cutlery to use for food (they also included some dish soap and a sponge, along with a drying rack, to hand-wash the dishes in the sink when we were done with them).

The wi-fi and internet was fairly good too. We brought a Roku device to connect to the TV, and we had no problem streaming videos with it in our room.

The shower in the bathroom also had 3 fairly good sized dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The hotel is also across the street from Mo's, which is a fairly decent restaurant. We got a meal to go from there to bring back to our room. The hotel is also within walking distance of a beach, which is nice.

Also, our room (and the hotel in general) was fairly quiet. There was a little bit of noise from neighbors, but overall not much, and it was fairly quiet. We were able to sleep fairly easily.

If you are travelling with a dog, Looking Glass Inn is a wonderful option. They provide a basket in your room containing towels, bowls, sheets to cover the furniture (yea!), treats and poop bags.
The office staff is lovely, and the property is well kept and fairly quiet. My only quibble is that the rooms are not air conditioned (which was a problem for one night of my stay) and the parking lot is brightly illuminated so that if you want to place a (motel supplied)fan in the window to cool things off, you'll let in too much light to sleep. Also, the motel is on a cul de sac across from Mo's restaurant and public beach, so there are trash and delivery trucks very early in the morning, and they are pretty noisy.

I needed a place to relax, and chose Looking Glass Inn for their amazing amenities. I was particularly happy with the included balcony and fireplace, but the kitchenette and whirlpool bath right in the living room were truly over the top! Also over the top was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff (John carried my bags up to the third floor and two of the the amazing cleaning crew graciously helped me carry my bags down. Thank you!!!) The delicious breakfast and expansiveness of the property, including a gas fire pit to sit and chat with others also added immeasurably to my pleasure. The "Senior Discount" and "Best Available" prices were lower than on any other website, so I was very glad I had booked directly with the hotel. And did I mention the location? Directly across from the beach, from Mo's and from the historic pier! I'll be back!

So I don't like doing reviews however as the manager said she would do something with our bill to try and make up for our bad experiences and choose not to in the end here we go.
We had a 2 room suite with the kitchen great except even though all dials showed off the heat was still blowing, the kitchen only half of the burners worked (side note we stayed in 2021 and same issue with stove) the lady at check in got her name it was Teri was super rude and snappy, she was also there for breakfast and made remarks about me coming back more than once(I have 4 kids that all wanted to get their own breakfast, rather than bombarding the small breakfast area with my entire group I took them down one at a time) she kept saying "oh your back", "you were just here", "how many kids do you have" coffee was horrid and most of the time not even brewed and ready for guests everyone was waiting. We forgot items in the room and I still haven't heard anything about getting them back. Apparently when you forget something it now belongs to them. The guy in the evening was super nice got me pillows as there were NONE in the room for the pull out sofa, nor even an extra in the closet. I mean come on people. Spoke with Lisa the manager when I was checking out and she apologized and stated she would look at my bill and see what she could do to try and make up for our experience, yep she still charged me full price and they took our forgotten items so we will not be returning to this location or any of their other sister locations. I suggest you don't either

Side note the same guy that got my pillows was super sweet to my kiddos when we came down for cookies in the evening. - Hope he finds a new place to work as the way they treat their guests I imagine they are not pleasant to their employees

This is our 3rd time staying here. We enjoy it as the price is right, location is great and knowing that it is truly pet friendly, makes its very relaxing for all of us. You are given a welcome basket for your dog, there is outside green space for your pet with trash bins. The access to the beach is right there, just a short walk. We stayed upstairs in a 2-bedroom suite. We have German Shepherd and she seemed really happy with the space. So, we will continue with staying in the 2 bedrooms. We will definitely be back. Oh the staff is always friendly :-)

I had the Best Experience Ever when I chose this Hotel...But was a condo! I had a last-minute dog sitter cancel on me, so brought my 2 Border Collies on my Trip. This Place was across the street from Mo`s Seafood, within walking distance to Ocean beach, the Pier & downtown shopping. Very Friendly Staff John & Melissa went above and beyond treating me just like family it was so welcoming! This place has literally thought of everything you would ever need! I was Traveling alone with my dogs they got a filled welcome basket that had everything I needed. The Dog area was fully lit at night, I felt very safe, and Grounds were very clean even a fire hydrant... Lol And ample supply of Doggie bags, Trash container and a few leash Hooks on the fence to use when I needed to use for a moment to answer my phone. The outdoor fireplace area to relax each night. My 2 room Condo had a fully functioning Kitchen That came in so handy, also a Great continental breakfast each morning in Lobby and Choc Chip Cookies in the evening for a snack! My room was so Clean and 2 big screen TV`s. I had immediately extended my stay after I saw my room, they even had a laundry room and Crab station and BBQ to use if you wanted.
It was so quiet at night, and we all slept like a baby. I will most definitely be back!

Stellar Location, Wonderful Staff! Lisa, the GM and Melisa, the front desk manager, were both welcoming and gracious. I arrived early so I had time to talk with both of them while waiting on my room to be cleaned. I felt at home even before getting to my second floor room, which is very gracious in size with a king bed, bar, jacuzzi tub, and shower/toilet. There’s also a coffee/cocktail bar and another sink for shaving, toothbrushing, etc. It exceeded my expectations. It has a deck so I can sit outside sipping a cocktail and look out at the Pacific Ocean! I feel like I won the lottery with this room.
If you plan a stay in Lincoln City, OR, don’t miss out on a stay at The Looking Glass Inn.

Our cousins were coming to visit from England and asked for us to take them to the Oregon Coast. We were delighted to suggest we return to The Looking Glass Inn as we have stayed there numerous times over the years and find it perfect for our needs.
The hotel is very well maintained, both on exterior and interior. We have had a different room each time we have stayed and find them to be good sized, with very comfortable beds, many with fireplaces. It is also handy to have a small fridge and a microwave available. The property is situated perfectly on the north shore of Siletz Bay. It is a very easy, short walk to the beach to collect driftwood and watch the sea lions fish.
They are also a very dog friendly property. They provide a fun goody basket for furry guests.
Each morning there is a simple, yet very nice continental breakfast with cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, coffee and tea.
The warm and friendly staff are very helpful with suggestions for side trips, restaurants.
We will continue to return to the Looking Glass Inn on trips to the coast. It is a gem.

The rooms tired and could use some updating. Our sliding glass door was extremely hard to work. There are not enough plugs for electronics. They offer no maid service during your stay so be prepared to empty your own garbage and go to the office for extra toilet paper and coffee They have an OK brunch from what is supposed to be 8-10, but one morning I decided to stop at 9:58 to just grab a bagel and everything was put away already. Some of the employees at the front desk are nice and others are not friendly bordering on rude. The beach is close by and that was delightful. Several restaurants are within walking distance.

We booked the romance package and it was amazing! We got a $75.00 gift card to the side door cafe amazing food! We had a bottle of champagne on ice upon arrival which was awesome. We had a third floor room with a great view, the location is very convenient easy access to the beach. The rooms amenities were great, the hot tub for two. Plenty of pillows on the bed, love that they have a fan in the room we like having a box fan run at night for white noise. The mini kitchen was awesome and stocked with cups, glasses, plates, bowls, silverware, can opener, corkscrew, microwave, mini fridge even a toaster. They had muffins, granola bars and orange juice as well as coffee pot. Plenty of towels. Fireplace was nice but we didn’t use it because it’s July. The room was clean and comfortable, highly recommend, have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is amazing, friendly, and very helpful. Have nothing bad to say about this place

Are there any outdoor dining options near by. Want to take my wife to a nice dinner if possible. Thanks
Answer from Michael E

Don't think there is, with the Governor’s shutdown of Restaurants. There is one of the best Seafood Restaurants right across the street that probably has take-out - MO's. Don't know if they are open, but the Dory Cove is pretty good and so it the Kyllo's (a little on the expensive side) our favorite is The Blackfish Cafe. I would think they should all be open for takeout. Hope you enjoy walking the beach and the seafood as much as we do.
