Hi Larry - So happy that you and girlfriend enjoyed your stay at Whistling Winds. Ocean's 12 is a great little homey cabin. I love the fireplace too. We hope to see you back for a return visit real soon! The InnKeepers

My husband and I found this cozy place online while researching places with a jetted tub for our honeymoon. Loved the cabin type feel of the room, the tub was huge, and a little history of the place on the walls. Such a cute place...More

That is one of the special features of the Whistling Winds Motel, we have many different options for all types of guests. We don't have any rooms that resemble the cookie box cutter rooms found in your larger chains. We are so happy you enjoyed...More

Wow- I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We stayed in the Pixie Kitchen which was a nice surprise to find a stove, full fridge, sink etc. We sort of wondered in off the street. It saved us a bit on food and gas to not...More

This is our 4th time staying at Whistling Winds. It has been a long while since we have been there, since our family size has outgrown their occupancy limits, but my husband and I stayed recently for our 17th anniversary. We stayed in the Beachhead....More

Glad you enjoyed your stay. As we mentioned during your stay, the owners are looking into new quieter motors for the hot tubs. Hope to see you soon. The Innkeepers

Hi. I'm sorry, but we do not offer breakfast. We do have coffee makers, fridges, and microwaves in some rooms, and others, we have full kitchens.

So, I've been reading reviews and have seen some negatives about the Rooster room (not updated, dirty shower, old lumpy thin carpet, even one about there being duct tape around the windows??) My mom got us a reservation for 4 of us in that room very soon and I am beginning to wonder if it will be adequate. I'm mostly wondering if it has been renovated yet(I saw a post saying it will be the last to be renovated)? This looks like a beautiful, quiet, older hotel with lots of charm and I am hoping that the mostly positive reviews (which are why mom picked this motel) are a better indication of what we find when we get there, but has anyone stayed in the Rooster room recently? Was it clean? How were the beds(I know this one is subjective)? Is the carpet still lumpy and old as one review stated? We aren't really picky just expect clean, comfortable and friendly. I don't care that we won't have our room tidied up everyday, since I usually request that it isn't anyway. Sorry this is such a long winded post/question (set of questions really). It's just I'm hoping that our girls weekend goes off well as we are taking it to de-stress from one of us nearly dieing, one of us lost their husband recently and one of us was just in a car accident. I don't want anyone having more stress once we get there. Thanks, Kat
