Cannot beat the view, however room needs a lot of updates. Jetted tub was damaged & taped, tiny TV, shower door could barely open, very dim lighting, deck rail badly rusted unkept. They should care enough for their visitors to put some love and care into their property

Rude front desk… shocked! Wife and I have never been treated like that by front desk clerks before. Lady told us we might swipe room keys, we might scam them because they’ve been scammed before. Snarky and condescending and not welcoming in any way. She said she is proud of being paid to be overly paranoid. Room is big with a lot of blank space, nothing like the picture in the advertisement. To top it off, there’s another group in the waiting room that’s been waiting for 3 hours for the staff to fix a mistake with their booking. I hate this place already…

Room was not ready on time and were told we had to come back over an hour after check in time. Once we got in our room it was dark, dingy and very unclean. Several spots of sticky liquid on the nightstand and desktop, very noticeable dust in all the corners and several loose hairs on bed and shower. Rooms didn't look remotely like the photos posted online. Couldn't wait to get out of the room in the morning. I did not feel comfortable having my family stay here.

Beautiful views! Very comfortable. Clearly an older property but well kept and updated, we would rate our stay a 5/5 if not for being awakened a 3 am by the noise above us 2 nights in a row. Would definitely stay here again

Driving north on the 101 up the entire Oregon coast. Stayed here one night. Had an oceanfront balcony room. Easy to find and check-in easy. I found the room clean and bed comfortable. I would say it is time to clean or replace carpeting. And, room needs some care: badly broken screen on patio door, patio railings rusting thru...salt air damage) (To me balcony is not safe.) No usb ports...must hve ac plug-in with ports. Staff super nice! Restaurant on property. Super good fish tacos! (I had haddock)

Booked one night through booking.com and was allocated Room 802. The booking went smoothly and the room was clean and functional. The beds were some of the most comfortable I had slept in a while. The hotel is within walking distance of the Chinook winds casino, so I walked there for dinner. I had a good stay overall but there were two problems with my stay; the towel rack is right above the toilet. The other problem is the WiFi which was so weak, I kept losing connection. This was being because the rooms were a quite a distance from the transmitting station. I liked my stay overall and it’s a good place to stop off on the coast.

Beds were fine but couches are ripped and warm out . No table and chairs as asked when we made reservations. Room was some what dirty balcony above looks like it’s about to cave in and held up with 2x4 s on our deck. Sliding door about to fall off. Called the manager and she did offer to move us but too much stuff to move. Couch is completely worn out and ripped up. We have stayed here off and on for years and we will never return. Not worth 300 + per night . The room we are in needs to be off market and issues need to be felt with. Especially when the hotel sits on one of the best parts of the beach. Original owner is no longer here and the place is not what it use to be . So sad

This is an older hotel right on the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by our room. We were upgraded to a premium ocean view room. I had booked a partial view so the upgrade was awesome. I was told the room had recently been redone, with new beds. Our room was on the fourth floor and access was easy. The room itself was nice. Hardwood floors, a very cool live edge table with a mid century chair. The bathroom has nice tile & solid surface counter. The beds were a bit firm for me but I slept fine. There is a coffee maker, microwave & glass door mini fridge in room. There is an electric fireplace in the room. I turned it on when we first got in the room but the weather was great so we never needed it. We really enjoyed standing out on the balcony. We even watched a couple get married out on the beach. The only bad things were there was pigeon poo on the balcony and we did hear noise above us one night. All in all we would stay there again but I would recommend getting the premium room.

My negative review is based upon the dishonesty of the Surftides front desk. I was required to provide my credit card upon check-in despite having prepaid for the room via booking.com. the credit card was allegedly for any incidentals I may wish to purchase. Upon check out, my credit card was charged $50 because the front desk clerk said booking.com did not charge me enough money. Additionally, this hotel does not have any maid service, the microwave was broken, and the bathroom light bulb was burned out before we got there. Although there was a nice sea view from the balcony and direct access from this hotel to the beach, the dishonesty of being charged more money because they had my credit card number is not worth the stay here.
