We stayed in Nick's Room on the fourth floor, which shared a bathroom with another couple. This might have been a little more weird if the other couple wasn't our friends. There are room options where you do not share shower/toilet. Cold AC, great shower pressure and cute furniture. The bed moved a lot. I'm a heavy sleeper but I...

Melanie- I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Hotel Oregon. The roof top bar is one of my favorite spots in town. The view from up there is amazing. Cheers- Dani Chisholm Hotel Oregon Property Manager

We are here for one night to see the drum and bugle corps perform in McMinnville Oregon. We are frequent guest of the McMenamin's hotels throughout Oregon and Washington. This is our first time to hotel Oregon. It is a beautiful hotel restored in the McMenamin's tradition which is to say it is really beautiful and historic. Our room and...

The Hotel Oregon in McMinnville is a fascinating historic building. I loved the artwork and history throughout. The restaurant is beautiful, and the rooftop is fun. Parking is easy at a free public ramp one block away. We stayed there to explore the wine country and it turned out to be a good location. The pipes can be loud at...

Three girlfriends and I had reservations at two tasting rooms in Dundee and Dayton. We traveled toward Mcminnville and ended at the Hotel Oregon. We literally took the last two rooms here. We had two rooms side by side on the fourth floor, European Style. Everything was SO clean. The rooms are small, but adaquate. The large windows made it...

The McMenamins empire is known for thoughtful and creative renovations with a lot of personality and this hotel is no exception. Quirky art everywhere, most with references to the building's or town's history; a lovely sitting room/library on the first floor; really cool rooftop bar; a location right in the middle of town. Unfortunately we happened to be there on...

While traveling through Oregon, we stayed at the Hotel Oregon and were amaze with the history and artistry within this facility. Each room is named for a historical person related to the hotel, with each room having a hand painted paragraph identifying the associated person including their likeness. The artwork goes on to include paintings on the walls and even...

We knew it was going to be unusual and are up for that, but there were a few quirks that I couldn't get past. I had a hard time with the smell, it's smelled like bug spray. The food was ok, very limited menu, (4 items) and sadly the wine was run of the mill. The roof top bar was...

We stayed in a room w/ bath at $125 per night. The hotel has perfect location, the staff bustles around with lots of vitality, the common areas are quaint and inviting -- the room was tiny, slightly musty and had no furniture to accommodate the normal traveler's gear. The rooftop bar is great, the library opposite the front deak is...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your room. One of the challenges with a historic hotel can be room size. Even though our rates are very competitive with the area, actually the best rates downtown, I understand some of our smaller rooms, even with a private bath, may not be what...

This was our third stay over the course of a couple years and once again we had a great time. As other reviewers have pointed out this place isn't for everyone, do your homework. It can indeed be loud, most rooms are indeed very small with the bathroom down the hall, there's no parking, but it's a unique piece of...

The only option in town, except for sterile chains. A fun and funky vibe in a great downtown location, but its historic charm is also its downfall. Quite noisy, with hallway sounds and plumbing to other rooms passing across the ceiling. (Fortunately, they provide earplugs on the nightstands.) Paid about $60 extra for a small private bathroom with a plastic...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
