We were in Monmouth to visit our son at Western Oregon University. The house is just one block away from the campus and all of the restaurants and nightlife of Monmouth, making it extremely convenient. The house is a historic landmark, and is quirky in the way of old houses. But the bed was comfortable and breakfast delicious. This is...

The company I work for set up this hotel stay. Prior to that I had not heard of this quaint bed and breakfast that is set up right off of the Main street downtown area of Monmouth. It is so homey and comfortable. The family that was also staying were very friendly and the owner, Terri was so sweet and...

We arrived at MaMere's and immediately loved it! Terri was welcoming, friendly and genuinly wanted to make sure our stay was perfect! She gave us a tour of the rooms and grounds as we were fortunate enough to be the only guests during our stay. Terri knew that we need to depart at 7:30 and let us know she would...

I wanted to take the time to tell you that if you are looking for a quaint place to stay that's lovely and near the wineries, you should consider making a reservation at Ma Mere's. Talk about southern hospitality! The owner Terri is just about the most hospitable person you have ever met. I promise if you stay, you will...

I was in Monmouth for three nights looking for property and was fortunate enough to stay at MaMere's (my mother in French). The house was built in 1891, but is well kept and very clean. Maggie went out of her way to may my stay comfortable. She and Terri made me feel right at home. I stayed in the French...

Lovely ambiance. We stayed in the Starry Night room with private claw foot tub, fresh roses, cool breezes from the dual ceiling fans. Breakfast was a delightful combination of yogurted fruit, poached eggs, homemade cheese grits, juice and coffee. The back yard includes a covered gazebo. All this and only 1 block walk to either a wine bar or a...

I had to come to Monmouth for a conference. I wanted a quiet place that I could stay that was in walking distance from WOU and a few options for dinner (I did not have my own vehicle). This was the perfect place for that. My room (magnolia) was quiet and cozy. There was a stack of magazines waiting for...

I stayed at MaMere's for the first time in May last year, it was absolutely wonderful. It was also my first experience staying at a B&B. Terri, the hostess, was great and made me feel right at home. The food was perfect. The room was a bit small for my liking, but it was clean and that is all that...

We chose this B and B because we saw a Living Social deal for a place to stay while in Oregon. We weren't really picky about what town we stayed in as we just wanted to be in a central area for some winery tours and sightseeing. Long story short - we were lucky ducks (pun intended)! Terri is such...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the heart of the Willamette Valley near the Intersecting Highways of 99W and 22, MaMere's is surrounded by some of the best wineries in the state (and, yes, we do have our favorites to recommend). An hour away from both the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, MaMere's is in the city of Monmouth, the proud home of Western Oregon University. From our dining room, you can view the activity of Main Street Park as you enjoy a sumptuous, relaxed breakfast. You'll hear the bands playing as you lounge in the gazebo during our Music in the Park series all summer long. Hit the bike trail or mosey over to neighboring eateries and shops. Or, you can always opt to do not much of anything here at MaMere's. If you're visiting your Western Oregon University student, touring wineries or just need a B&B break in the mid-Willamette Valley, book a stay at MaMere's Guest House. The historic Howell House serves as the framework for this accommodation, full of R&R and attentive service by MaMere's manager, Emily, and owners (Emily's parents), Bill & Sarah Altland. Nightly rates range from $89-$149 with a delicious breakfast included. ... more   less
