Memaloose State Park does not have a lot to offer on-site, but provides easy access to Columbia River Gorge activities between The Dalles and Portland. Rail enthusiasts will love this campground as UP is wedged between campground and the river and BNSF runs on the north side (Washington State). Surprisingly the trains are not as loud as one would think...

Stopped here one night before heading into Washington State. Entrance is only on west side of the I-84 and you need to be observant for entrance. Nicely treed sites, not overly large but adequate. We parked our truck camper in full hookup site near the hill overlooking the gorge and loved the view as well as the sounds of the...

This was a good park for one or two days. Good level sight with good water pressure and 30 amp service and sewer. The facilities were clean and the staff were nice. The reason I give it a three is because of the ground squirrels they are everywhere. They were even getting into my grill on the table outside. There...

This campground is located RIGHT next to I-84, making it a convenient stop for travelers and it's popular campground for wind surfers as it is located right near the Columbia River Gorge. Lots of nearby wineries to tour as well. Sunny and hot in the summertime yet quite tolerable due to the extremely low humidity and most of the sites...

Great stop over for west bound traffic. No access to Columbia River. Tent sites have the best sites....on the water. No pull thru sites (that was not a problem for us). Be sure you have what you need, closest mini mart is in Mosier but then to get back to the park, you have to go south to exit 76...

We tent camped here for 1 night just passing through. It's one of the last places to stop (west bound) before you hit a more arid environment. All the spots with Columbian river gorge views were taken, so we opted for next to the playground and close to bathrooms, our kids loved the tire swing, regular swings and slide structure,...

The campground was nice and clean being located in between hwy I84 and the train tracks, it was noisy. While there is a lot to do in the vicinity you'll have to drive - there is no access to hiking trails or the river from the campground.

Very nice spots with a spectacular view of the river. A train runs by between the campground and river. I like the sound of trains so it didn't bother me. I stayed 4 days riding my motorcycle all over OR and WA. It is right next to the interstate but don't let that discourage you. You can't hear, see, or...

This is a very nice campground just off Hwy 84, overlooking the Columbia River. Access is best heading west and you enter off the rest stop, so it is not super clear where the park is. We booked a site right down overlooking the river. It was a fairly level site with big shade trees and beautiful views of the...

This campground comes with a view that is just amazing of the Columbia river. Most of the campsites even have big trees so plenty of shade is provided. The wind does pickup quite a bit though and you should be careful about having an awning out at all.
