I was going to stay here and then cancelled due to a friend booking another place. The people at the inn are great and took my cancellation. However OYO wouldn’t refund me because they didn’t see it in the system or something like that. They are still refusing a refund even though the lovely people at the inn tries to reach them for me and I talked to them several times. OYO the company is a horrible organization, they have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. NEVER book with them online, call the inn instead and they will treat you well.

The guy I dealt with (covered in tattoos) was a straight up con man. Told me $125, played around on the computer and then mumbled, "I got you a better deal." Great! Then gives me the reciept after running my credit card. It's for $142. I asked what happened to $125 and he said "No, I said $145." I objected and he adamantly insisted he told me $145. To appease me, he then fakes a phone call to "his girlfriend" to remedy the situation. After some mumbled "conversation" with her, he acts like she b!tched at him and tells me, "She won't help me out." So to save me a new motel search I gave in and paid his price. No doubt he routinely pulls this stunt. Going to my room, I spotted a slew of unsavory looking characters in and around the motel who made me VERY nervous about the security of my car and its contents. Go ANYPLACE else but here!

All the other hotels were booked out so we stopped here to check it out. First we didn’t think it was even open. Half of the hotel was dark and blocked of. They are doing construction. Check in took a minute. Very old school. But the owner was friendly and helpful. It was pretty cheap to stay there for the area. Didn’t know quite what to expect but it was ok. Nothing fancy but it was clean and quiet. The coffee maker was missing. But as all we needed was a bed for the night it was fine.

My husband and I and his 2 girls went to Newport for Labor Day weekend. This was the only hotel we could find. Two queen beds that were hard as a rock, no AC so you had to leave the door open or the one window open to get any air flow. Room was old and stuffy. Definitely not worth almost 170 a night. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also a big thanks to the housekeeper who was in to big of a hurry to wait on customers who were walking down to their car with their arms full making us have to walk back up to where we were so she could get by us. Like I said don't stay here..... unless you like wasting your money on horrible rooms

Nothing special, but room was as booked, check-in and out were efficient. Bed was fine, room and bathroom were clean. Hate the tiny bars of soap! Location was on highway, but there was no noise. My room was in the back building which suited me.

I really cannot believe that someone would rate v this as excellent or even good. Our room was dark and smelly. It was clean enough and the lady at front desk was friendly but I have paid less than I did for this room in other motels and got so much more for my money. This is not a good value for the money spent. I won't return.

I had a king size bed. For a one star hotel . . it was very good . . Of course things are gunna be less quality than a 3 star. Clean room, nice size flat screen tv, everything worked and it was a good bed. Front desk was great!! If ya want better bath towels, a bigger tv, soaps, etc . . pay $40 more a night and get a 2 or 3 star hotel.

The front staff was friendly, but that is the only positive. I paid almost $200 on a busy weekend with my two kids. We got settled into the room after a busy day, and the first thing we noticed was that my bed smelled of pee. It seemed to be the blankets that smelled - the sheet and mattress were clean. But since the hotel (and all of Newport) were booked, there was nowhere else to go - so I pulled off the blankets and slept with only a sheet. Which ended up being ok because the room was hot - no A/C and no fan. The small window had no screen and opened up to a closed hallway. The bathroom was really dirty and grimy, and the shower had sand in the bottom. The walls were paper thin - the woman next door had a horrible cough ( I was worried she was dying). When I complained, the front desk did take $20 off of my room rate.

Do not stay here, do not even consider it. The hotel is disgusting! The staff are all incredibly rude and do not care about you at all. The GENERAL MANAGER has not even the slightest clue what customer service is. She will treat you like you are dirt and your business means nothing to them. You will be demeaned and ignored. PLEASE take your business elsewhere to a place where they will treat you like a person deserving of respect.
