Did not get the service I paid for. I came here to sleep because I was going fishing in the morning and was given lower room 43 next to a trailer that someone was living in. They also had the room above us and must have been on drugs because they kept us up all night. They were yelling and pounding, dropping things, moving furniture, pacing, hammering, etc. from the time we arrived between 9-10 pm until 4 am. If I could rate this a negative experience I would.

Every summer, my family and I would come to the coast and stay here. It was cheap to rent two rooms, to fit my big family. I was surprised to get clean rooms; I didn't think they would clean the room thoroughly, but I saw them strip the sheets, take the trash out, and do the other chores that needed to clean. It was a decent place to stay for a big-sized family.

I was pleasantly surprised that our room (66) was very clean. I was kinda expecting bad news for how cheap it was. The room did smell a little like smoke, though it’s a non smoking room. But not too terrible and I personally hate cigarette smell. The room came with basic cable and a flat screen tv, a small fridge (in the cabinet under the tv) microwave and an eating area. The bed was firm but clean. No sore back in the morning, that was good. Pillows were too flat, need to be replaced. Could use a fan or air conditioner in the room. The bathroom was clean, towels were bleached and clean and had some samples of shampoo and conditioner. Though I suggest you bring your own...it was a super cheap product. Also the water temperature fluctuated every other minute from scalding hot to freezing cold. But hey at least you had a shower. LoL. Over all, I would stay here again, if just needing a cheap and clean place to lay my head.

Pull in under the roof at the office, and first thing you see is a tall brick planter topped with a careful arrangement of fossils, beach rocks, and even petrified wood, plus flowers. Not a weed in it, nor a rock out of place. Yes, it's an older motel, with interesting colors in the rooms (loved the looked-original lavender tile wall in our bathroom), but everything worked fine. Fridge, microwave, modern TV; heat worked perfectly. Net got iffy at night; we used our phone as hotspot then. Room was scrupulously clean when we checked in, and after housekeeping. Walls are thin, but clientele was never rowdy during our stay. Shower temp did fluctuate once or twice during a long shower, but there is plenty of room to step forward out of the spray for the several seconds it takes to come back to normal temp. This does not seem to be a "residence" motel. No drug deals, no cars coming and going late at night, no "residents" hanging out, no dogs roaming off-leash. Just travelers. Which was a welcome change from many of the places we've stayed (and why we rarely stay at Motel 6s anymore). The family that owns it are all hard workers, and they're fantastic about cleaning/restocking. They do all the cleaning themselves, and you won't find a stray hair or bit of overlooked trash anywhere in the room. They live there, and they are frequently visible, though not intrusive. We were in the area house-hunting, as well as working on laptops. Before Money Saver, we'd stayed in a $100+/night Travelodge in Newport, then a $75 terrible motel (Summer Wind), then booked two nights here @ $60. This motel beat the others by a mile. We extended stay for about 10 more days. The hospital helicopter landed two times (neither were emergencies) while we were there, which was great to watch. And sometimes you can hear sea lions barking from the back parking lot :)

I booked at this Motel expecting and average budget motel, and discovered quickly it was sub average. There's a sign near the bathroom warning of taking showers and "how the water fluctuates, so to be careful". OK, at least they warn you, that's good, but with so many other issues, and extremely noisy, I regretted booking here.

Cheapest room by half, but good value. We got a good nights sleep and the place is very clean, though old. The TV and internet worked fine. The walls and ceiling are thin, so just hope your neighbors are quiet.

There are no reasonably priced motels in Newport so we took a chance on this one. If you get a Queen room (one bed) you will be on the second floor in the back with no elevator. The room was clean but austere (few power outlets, no hair dryer, dim lighting) but there was a working fridge and microwave. We were a bit worried about our car as there were 2 shady guys living in an old car across the street (never moved the whole time we were there), and a van that kept pulling in to the lot beside our car several times a day and talking on his cell phone - not sure what he was up to. The room was OK but I've attached a photo that shows how their maintenance man has unique ways of fixing things.

So we had to find a last minute room. Thank God this motel had a 2 bed room, their last one I might ad. From the outside it looked a little sketchy but beggars cant be too choosy. It was a little spendy but it was late and we were tired. The office gal was so nice and, to our delighted surprise, the room was wonderful. The bed felt just like being at home in my own, perfect. VERY clean and smelled so fresh. No a/c but it was a cool evening and the window opened all the way. I would definitely stay again.

The room and bathroom was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There is a very small fridge and microwave in the room. Free cable, WiFi and parking. The fan does not work in the bathroom and the shower head is rather low. There is no recycling bin in the room. It is conveniently located. For a one night stay, I would stay here again.

We stayed here about March/April of 2017 and we made our reservation based on our previous experience, which was okay (a cheap place to sleep, nothing more). But the second time around was absolutely terrible. The front desk clerk was nice, she was a younger girl, but the office smelled like acetone or some strong chemical. While I was walking to my room on the ground level, this greasy looking man was doing something to the vending (or maybe ice machine?) and I kind of just assumed maybe he was the motels maintenance man. He was sketchy looking and creepy...anyways, I seen him walk upstairs with some woman and I was pretty convinced that he was possibly living at the motel. For the next 4 hours all we heard was arguing, door slamming, furniture being moved, coughing and very loud (and annoying) cackling from the woman. We called the front desk because it was getting late and they told us they’d call the man and tell him to quiet down. They did. And it didn’t help. He grew louder and possibly angrier, since he really began to stomp loud. Finally, after the drugs wore off, I assume, he and his lady friend went to bed, but we got out of there early the next day. I will never come back! Besides the drug addict upstairs, there was bloody boogers smeared on the wall and our sheets did not look clean. Pretty disappointing, considering our last stay wasn’t that bad, just the noise and the old furniture. But I guess you get what you pay for.
