Detailed Reviews
We experienced some car trouble on the way to Crater Lake and needed to make an unexpected stop for the night. Dan at Cascade was so pleasant, inviting, and helpful during an incredibly stressful situation, and it really helped put us at ease.
The room was very clean, the lawn and gazebo/grill area were cute and tidy, and there were appropriate COVID precautions in place. There was space to work at a desk in the room, the wifi worked well, the bed was comfortable, and there were amenities to store/heat food.
There is a pizza restaurant next door and other options within walking distance. The town is really nice and settled back from the main freeway, but there are options to bike, drive, and hike around the area. I would highly recommend staying at Cascade, the hospitality is unparalleled and scenery is beautiful.

Had my family stay here for our daughter’s wedding day, and they had an amazing time. Most of the cabins were guest at our wedding so many wanted to be close together. Lisa went above and beyond to make their stay awesome. We loved sitting around the fire pit and she brought out popcorn and chocolate the night I was able to join. A very welcoming and clean place to stay. Totally recommend the Cascade motel.

Best and most well kept motel you can ask for for the asking price. Came to Oakridge from Lewiston Idaho to build fire lines on the MiddleFork complex fire and these people showed me that Oregon still has good people in it.
Stay here and be sure to thank the owner for his service

The rooms are clean and smell good! Our room (room 8) was updated and had nice bedspreads. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are fluffy. We were greeted after hours (very accommodating) and felt welcomed! I would recommend this place to all! Also, you cannot beat the price!

Old stuffy motel. Was told they didn't have 2 queen room but tried to upgrade to a suite. Had to ask if there was anything else besides a suite. Then show up and nobody is at the motel. Don't know why room option isn't open when we're the only people there. Room was old and stuffy. Had a slip at the door that it was sanitized. But 2 light switches in the room had black smeared on it. Had to get my own Clorox wipes to scrub everything down. Mattress was old and sinking in the middle. And never had a motel only give you two pillows per bed. And those I think were as old as the mattress.

I love the Cascade Motel. Recently refurbished, nice clean rroms, friendly people all around, outdoor table and chairs as well as a hammock for lazy afternoon snoozes.
I've been there twice and have reservations for the end of June.
Who need a high priced place to stay? All you need is a bed, (nice new ones, by the way), and a bathroom. There is a fridge and microwave in the rooms, as well as popcorn in the office. Plenty of towels. There are also kitchenette rooms available.
Wouldn't stay any where else unless I'm camping at the Blue Pool Campground.
Love the Cascade Motel!!!

I stayed here last year (2015) around the same time while on my way to backpack and it fit my needs. This year, the owners are still lovely, warm, and friendly and the rooms are immaculately clean. No frills here, just a clean comfortable room. Excellent choice to rest your head if passing through Oakridge, Oregon. Big Mountain Pizza and The Ridge are good eats too!

The owners apparently recently converted a spare bedroom to a suite for rental. Unfortunately both owners smoke lots and the suite is only separated from their living quarters by a hollow-core door, It is also downwind from the smoking shed. We would have loved to keep the door open to the fresh air here, but not to be. Each time we arrived at our room from a MTB ride, from the lake, from a round of golf or from dinner, at least one individual was sitting outside the laundry facility smoking But worse, one of the owners has a chronic smoker's cough that can be heard every five to fifteen minutes almost 'round the clock' thru the wall. Add that to their little yappy dog and a confrontative, barky, but apparently not dangerous border collie and our stay turned into one of endurance till the two nights we paid for were done. The bedding smelled like old cigarette smoke and didn't get better w new linens for the second night, I think because there is nearly always someone smoking in the laundry room. We moved here from the Best Western on the same block, and wished we could have moved back.
Great town, unlimited things to do, but we came here for fresh air great mountains and big lakes. Except for our nights in the room, our experience exceeded our expectations. Maybe if you get one of the other rooms...

Very nice owners. The motel is crisp and clean with very comfortable beds. A recommendation for everyone who needs a room for one night or several nights if you want to check out the beautiful nature of Oakridge.
Dan and Elizabeth Barclay, thank you for your hospitality.

This is one of the rare small independent motels that is a very pleasant surprise. After a long travel day I was just looking for someplace to lay my head. From the outside is an older but very well kept motel. The owners are a husband and wife team that are very personable and welcoming. After checking in I went to my room and found an almost perfect motel experience. The room was immaculate and well appointed. When I pulled the covers back I found the sheets were bleached and smelled great. I couldn't find a single thing to criticize.

Yes, right next door is a great place for a hearty dinner. Walked over one morning while staying at the Cascade Motel and had a great breakfast before a full day of mountain biking.
