Clean and charming. Vintage bathroom tile was cute. Would rather give my money to a local establishment than a chain. It's vintage so not everything is perfect and new. Free breakfast was basic, but for the price completely fine.

Stopped for one night; asked the desk man how often does the train go by (it's right by the tracks) and he didn't respond. When I asked again, he hemmed and hawed and said it was a small town, blah blah. Finally said 4-5 times a night, but the heater/a.c. unit would help drown out the noise. Great. Also, he...

What a great value! Very comfortable room and great bed. Helpful staff. And to top it off, an ample breakfast in the charming Rooster Room. Good location in Pendleton; we went to Hamley's for a nice dinner, too. I will look forward to staying there again!

The room was nice but drafty cold. The price was right for my travel budget; no complaints their. My only really issue was none of the remotes works because no battery were in them. I would stay there again if I'm in Pendleton in the future.

10 individuals came together and stayed at this wonderful lodge. The atmosphere is incredible, you feel so welcomed. They have complimentary breakfast at the rooster room which has the cutest decorations. Only thing I would change is to have more than one toaster for the bagels. I would definitely stay there again. The price was great, and yet still safe...

We've stayed at this little motel several times over the years and always found it clean, well-located and inexpensive. The continental breakfast is more than adequate and it's only 2 blocks from the Pendleton Woolen Mills Store. It's not fancy but is very comfortable.

Our car pulling a trailer failed us on the haul up a steep grade east of Pendleton. We were towed to Pendleton to an auto shop late in the evening. The tow driver then took us to Rugged Country Lodge only 1/4 mile from the shop. The hosts were very accommodating, the room was clean and well supplied and had...

Clean, updated rooms in an old-fashion, 60's motel. Close to train tracks so great for those who enjoy train noise. Only single rooms on ground floor. Comfortable beds. Good televisions with cable. Nice bathrooms. A moderately priced motel for grown-ups.

Excellent experience. For a very reasonable rate, you get a homey, comfortable room with free wifi and a free breakfast. The owner was out front gardening when we pulled up. He greeted us and met us inside the small lobby. He was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Very clean and cared for rooms. Slept peacefully and comfortably. Get the feeling the owner is making effort to continue upgrades. Still need tv remote upgrade. The breakfast has limited options, but excellent. Good fresh coffee, hard boiled eggs, big fresh bagels and cream cheese and very nice fruit: apples, bananas, oranges. The room was VERY pleasant and friendly. Management...
