We have stayed at the Hotel Modera on numerous visits to Portland. It is close to the Portland State campus and minutes to downtown. It is walkable to the Riverfront and to the Pearl District.
The rooms are well-maintained and very clean. The beds are...More
Fast friendly check in, super clean room, spacious room, great restaurant on site. We enjoyed great cocktails and appetizers at happy hour two nights in a row. Perfect and safe location and not unreasonable parking. We will stay here again.
Yup exactly what you read. They charge the 'Resort Fee' or 'Amenity Fee'... such dishonest practice. Bad enough when they do that to you at a resort, but they do this at what can only be described as a refurbished and cleaned up motel with...More

Wow, I can't remember to tell you the truth. I could look at my bill and get back to you later. Maybe I thought the charge was an amenity but may have been a tax. I'll see if I can figure it out. Sorry.

Good afternoon, excellent question. Unfortunately the answer is no, our rooms will not provide a view of the fireworks but no hotel will get you closer to the festivities of both the fireworks and the Blues Festival that will be going on that weekend. The only hotel that may have views of the fireworks would be The Marriott Waterfront, you should give them a call and see if they have any rooms left with those views.
