I recently stayed at the Modera while in Portland for a conference and everything about my stay was top notch. The staff was very helpful, they were patient, and they always accommodating. Whether it as coming in after a long day at the conference and getting a recommendation on the best bar that was still open, having other non-feather pillows...

The hotel was nicely decorated and in a good location. However, there was a constant noise in the rooms and corridors, which bothered us at night and ruined the entire experience. Rooms were also small. Staff was nice and restaurant/overall ambience was very good.

Richard M, Thank you for your response, we too think the hotel is well decorated and in a great location. Please stay tuned as we have some minor lobby renovations scheduled that we hope will add to the overall design and comfort of our property. And we appreciate you calling out the niceness of our staff (our most valuable asset)...

This is a very good hotel. Enjoyed the restaurant, the funky decor, and the very helpful staff. Had a minor problem with the A/C, but the staff very graciously tried hard to fix it, and when it was still too hot for my wife to sleep gave us a discount on the room. The location is also excellent. Had a...

we were impressed with the sleek design of the hotel when we arrived, and very happy with the pleasant, clean room, but what really made the stay was the staff. they were friendly, so knowledgeable about the area and happy to give recommendations. we never felt like we were being sent to a tourist trap and appreciated the unique opinions...

Annetteb20 I couldn’t agree with you more, after all we are just a building with beds, it is our staff that makes us a hotel, and hopefully home away from home. We pride ourselves and having a professional and knowledgeable team but more than that we have a team who enjoys showcasing our beautiful city to others. We value your...

The air conditioning in my room did not work. After two days they finally admitted having problems in certain areas of the hotel. Sleepless nights are not what I paid for and they did not offer any discount or apologies at the front desk. The area is dead at night...it's poorly located if you wish to enjoy the city.

Howard B, So sorry you found our location poor after so many of our guests rave over how close we are to bars, restaurants, and the center of the city. Our location may not be for everyone, but we feel it puts you right in the heart of the cultural arts district near museums, theaters, and live music venues and...

Everything about Hotel Modera pleased us. This former Days Inn has been so stylishly revamped, there are barely traces of its 1960 shadow. From check-in in the spacious lobby to well appointed rooms and baths to the fully subscribed 4-6p Happy Hour on the patio and in the bar--there was nothing not to like. We hosted a small dinner party...

This hotel is very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was clean. The restaurant and bar had excellent food and drinks. We were in town during the rare snowstorm Portland had. The front desk was very accommodating to help us secure rides to our appointments. It's an excellent location. Plenty of restaurants and attractions near by.

Really liked this place. Very modern decor, they have a nice bar/restaraunt. Rooms are spacious and well done. I thought the price was more than fair for the location and the quality. It's located about 5 blocks S of the city-center, so it's easily within walking distance of there, and another couple of blocks to Powell's Books if you want...

Steve K, We do have a great location and Portland is a walking city. Our blocks seem so much shorter than other cities’, maybe it’s because they are or maybe it’s because there is so much to see while you walk here, coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, and everyone’s favorite attraction Portlanders ourselves! We were so happy you enjoyed your stay...

We were ready to give the Modera a great review after our recent stay in one of their King Suites, but when it turns out we really needed their help, they gave us even more reasons to applaud their exceptional service.
