We enjoy staying at the Hotel Modera when we attend the Oregon Ballet Theater which is just a few blocks away. Good downtown location and nice hotel. Good Restaurant Nel Centro down stairs for breakfast or dinner.

I have been in Portland several times and I always stay in the downtown area. This was one of the best hotels that I had been in Portland. It reminds me of some good quality hotels in Europe. It is beautifully decorated. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. I admit , I didn't like the 30 dollars valet...

The staff is very nice. Temperature system only allows for building-wide heating most of the time, so there is no way to get the room cooled down to 68 degrees at night. AC only available in heat of summer. Restaurant is good.

We spent a rainy long weekend in Portland at Hotel Modera. It was my second visit to the hotel, the first on business. No question it's an excellent business hotel. However, I believe we all expect more when we're choosing accomodations for our own R&R. Given the weather, it was the little things the staff did to help us around...

We were in town for the weekend of the Jazz Festival. We've stayed at the Modera before. It will always be our first choice. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, it's an easy walk to the waterfront, the Portland Art Museum, or really, anything in the city. The hotel is modern (per it's name) and most clean and cozy....

Recommended by friend. Did impact our friendship in positive way. Totally renovated building and rooms. Nice atmosphere and convenience of accessing everything - landmarks, restaurants, coffee shops etc

I had an excellent stay at the hotel for a night. The bed was comfortable and sheets and bedding were clean. The staff was helpful with suggestions and calling quick cabs to take our party of 8 to our destinations. We ate breakfast at the restaurant (although not apart of the hotel) and it was delicious! It was a great...

I stayed at Hotel Modera for the 2nd time. Great place, great location, awesome food. The beds are amazing. The hotel is very clean, and I love the toiletries that are included in the bathrooms. Definitely stay there if you go to Portland! The only bummer is the $30 valet parking that is required but it is really convenient....
