We stayed in the large first floor suite that has a private entrance. The house is meticulously restored and updates, clean, neat, quiet, and comfortable. Parking behind the house. Bus stop 1/2 block away and restaurants within walking distance. Spacious living room and dining room and other common areas. Continental breakfast is self-serve and self-clean up, with a variety of...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Evermore. The house is beautiful and conveniently located. Our large upstairs room with sitting area and large private deck felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Stained glass, antiques and fireplaces all add to the charm of this 100 year old house. Free on-site, off street parking is a great bonus....

If you're looking for the Ultimate Bed and Breakfast experience, with the gourmet chef and Laura Ashley linen.. this is not the place. Think of this as a place where a friend of a friend lent you their house key, told you to just let yourself in, sleep there, clean up after yourself, ;leave him $150 and then let yourself...

I enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse. It is a gorgeous older home. The location is walking distance to some terrific restaurants. The manager was lovely and was there if I needed but otherwise went about her work. The price was good for the value. I had a room with my own bathroom which was nicely redone. The only downside...

While the Evermore was honest and open about itself, there are some simple things they could do to improve ... we were guests for 10 nights and only met staff haphazardly and owners not at all. While we knew this was not a B&B, a simple introduction would have been appreciated. We actually asked a guest if they were an...

Amazing location, walking distance to Division Street where there's lots of restaurants and bars. The house is stunning. Very smooth check in process - instructions were given in advance on how to get into the building and how to find your room.. and the keys were laid on the bed. Never seen a worker there, only other guests, but everything...

The Evermore is in a nice location with off-street parking (which was my favorite part of the stay). The spacious room was sparsely appointed with the absolute basics: Bed, desk, nightstands. There was no TV, no housekeeping and they provided do-it-yourself breakfast and dishes. The danish I had was still partially frozen, but tasty nonetheless. My biggest complaint was the...

I was traveling by myself and felt completely safe and comfortable at this wonderful old guesthouse. It was very quiet and on a beautiful street of old Victorian homes. I took a walk in the morning and returned to a nice breakfast and good coffee. It felt a little strange to go into the kitchen, but the directions said to...

We've stayed in many great B&Bs in Portland and the Evermore stands out even among them. Clean, neat rooms; offstreet parking; free wifi; walking distance to SE Hawthorne - the extra cost of the Evermore is more than justified by quality of the stay. One difference: this is not a conventional b&B - there's no regular breakfast or innkeeper. Instead...

If you are wanting to experience Portland outside of the typical large hotel trappings, then this is the place for you. We stayed two nights at the Evermore in the 2nd floor bay window room. It was spacious, VERY clean and full of charm! The house was built in 1910 and the interior waxes poetic of that time. Down to...
