This hotel is in a gorgeous spot, rooms were clean and COVID guidelines were posted everywhere. That said, the rules were not being followed/enforced and it definitely did not feel safe during this pandemic. In the lobby, staff and guests wore masks the whole time. But once we left the lobby, whole different story. Three of four cleaning staff on our floor were not wearing masks, maintenance man was not wearing a mask while walking up and down the hallway while we were getting to our room. One unmasked male guest got very angry when we asked him to put his mask on. He got very hostile, got very close to us and was incredibly rude. Hotel staff eventually came and explained he had to wear his mask while he yelled ‘did they tell on me?! Are those people to blame?!’ Left early. Nice place to stay, but not during this pandemic. Did not feel safe.…
I LOVED my room with a view of the River and a nice little balcony. I did have to ask for a few amenities that should’ve been in the room already but....the staff was sooo great to get them for me, I didn’t mind. I stayed 4 nights , they didn’t service my room while i was there but I’m sure if I would’ve asked, that too would have been promptly taken care of.. Really just ask. Again, I want to say kudos to the staff, they were always smiling and helpful and had interesting recommendations . The river trail provides a beautiful peaceful run or walk. I felt it was a bit magical. It was out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the city yet easy to drive into city life if that’s what you want.
Love this hotel and the staff! Take advantage of the complimentary rental bikes and ride up the river to check out the city. Dillon from the sales team brought us an awesome amenity to our room to acknowledge my birthday and the front desk team was very helpful with any question we had.
Our family of four stayed at the River’s Edge Hotel for two nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had a riverside room on first floor and could see the river through the trees from our lovely balcony. There was a multi use paved path along the river which we enjoyed taking walks on. The fall leaves were beautiful! The room was spotlessly clean, large and comfortable even for four people. Although it lacked a microwave which was disappointing. We had to request a Keurig machine from front desk due to Covid precautions. Front desk staff were wonderful, super friendly and helpful. Covid precautions were taken very seriously. No breakfast is available but several cafes are in walking distance. The only minus was that we booked through Expedia and so we were not made aware of $25 day parking fee which was annoying. …
RUN AWAY....the hallway floors look like they never get vacuumed.no amenities....the maid service that isn't yell from one end of the hall to the other ...I was there for a medical procedure,we had to find someone to get clean towels...we ask for a king size bed we got queen...the bedding felt like a throw rug it was so rough.the room was colder than the fridge...and then lets not mention the $ 50.00 early check in fee ...$ 25.00 parking a night.
