Monticello Motel is only a couple of blocks away from the Prescott Stop of the yellow line. Even though the train runs right in front of the motel, it really didn't bother any of us. The train is quiet compared to LA's Amtrak. We all slept well. The room was very clean as we arrived. We opened up the windows...

The proprietors of the hotel were extraordinarily helpful in addressing our concerns and making our stay enjoyable. The price is reasonable and it is within walking distance of MAX. The downside of the property is that MAX runs down the street outside the motel creating noise in the middle of the night. In addition, the property has a significant amount...

Super clean, nicely furnished, and a kitchen with a stove. A half block from the hotel you can catch the light rail train that drops you off a few minutes later in front of an excellent local organic grocery and deli. You don't even need a car to go anywhere in town from the hotel! There are ample quality restaurants...

My husband and I stayed here for our little getaway in August 2016. We were on a budget and needed something walking distance from the MAX rail system since that's how we planned to get around. The closest pickup/drop (can't think of what else to call it) was Prescott, which was only about 3 blocks away. The outside of the...

The check in was easy. The room was lovely. Max coming by regularly was a comfort. Recommend for the pass through. It was perfect and very, very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be close to transit, located out of the rush and bustle but also wanting to jump in by just crossing the street. Backs up to a...

This place must be under new management: it has been recently refurbished with hard floors, clean, smokeless rooms, firm beds, hot water and good AC/heating. Nothing particularly fancy but a very comfortable and secure place to crash in Portland and convenient for the downtown streetcars. Reccommended.

Safe, quiet, clean, affordable. I even ate some strawberries from their plants. 11 am checkout was a bit early, but they were booked solid for the next night. They let us check in early though. We walked to the Moda Center for a concert...a good 2 miles, and stopped at Wider Bros brewery on the way. I hadn't spent much...

Really good motel for visiting Portland. Location is great, only few hundred meters from light rail. Personal was very friendly and room spacious, good equipped and clean. Free parking, fast wifi. Great value in Portland.

A friend and I stayed there for a night on our way to Seattle. Room was very clean and well put together. The staff were very helpful and understanding when we were running late and requested a later check out. It was relatively close to a number of food places, giving us options. We loved the vintage vibe and the...

basic property, walkable to many venues in the neighborhood which is why I selected it -- clean, tidy room with kitchen. owners were kind enough to check me in very early in the day. some noise with the MAX line that runs down the middle of the street out front, but I'd definitely stay again if the need arose.
